Should I Sell My 1977 Vette

1977 wasnt exactly the high water mark for Corvettes, so its very unlikely you can sell the 77 for enough dough to buy even a 6 cyl Camaro. If that was my "Classic" and I really liked it, I would rather trade it towards a higer performance Corvette than a 2 ton Camaro.

    No other Generation

Hmmmm, metric motorcycle.......maybe thats calispeak for crotch rocket?? Naaah, would much rather have a hog......dont have to worry about actually driving it, or going fast or getting race bike like performance. Just happy the thing actually starts.......maybe tow it around on a trailer....

    No other Generation

Another log on the fire... I think C5s were the biggest detachment form the previous years Corvettes simply because the driving dynamics were changed more drastically from the C4 to the C5 than between any previous generations to the next one. Its part of the reason why so many C5 drivers...

why does it run so good?

The LT1 would be rated closer to 350HP in the old pre SAE days. The stiff suspension in C4s (and a good amount of low end torque) is mostly to blame for the rear coming around or the tires breaking loose if you gun it in a turn. This is one of those things thats a little more worked out in...

Crossfire is a good system regardless

How about posting some pictures of this wonder engine & car ? Dyno chart? Very impressed by a car that has 310 ponies but keeps up with one that has 505, and doesnt weight less........

    Hats Off To CAC

I said this before, this website is truly unique. Its run by folks who appreciate the hobby and the exchange of information among its members first– not satisfying vendors and helping them sell stuff that may or may not be an asset to the Corvette community that populates the forum.

    Calling on Vette experts!!

Non standard interior and exterior color combinations were allowed to be ordered on 1994 to 1996 Corvettes.

    Please GM, Fix the Corvette

This is an idiotic article on so many levels. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comSure it performs incredibly well, but the Corvette as a relevant performance car has lost its way. Instead of being the everyman, all-American supercar it once was, the Vette has become too...

    LT4 LT4 vs. LS1

You really need to get to the track and make some practice runs. A C5 auto driver only has to release the brake and slam the gas down after the last yellow - Doesnt matter what all the magazines report or past owners of similar cars have to say, without practice its very unlikely you will...

    Vette struck by lightning

There are photographed examples of whats called "Streamers" rising from the ground to meet the main lightning bolt, but the main energy is still generated above ground......... Hard to imagine any electronics surviving a lightning hit.

How much would you give for a new C4?

Maybe so, but in no way is having some electrical issues worked on and general maintanance performed considered a "restoration" -

How much would you give for a new C4?

I have had very good luck with 99s. Thank you. (95s also) What you are having done is in no way even close to a restoration. I guess you may want to reconsider your statement about cost.

How much would you give for a new C4?

I guess you didnt really price too many C5s. So you are paying other people to work on your car and you know it better than anyone? Do you mean you know where the money went better than anyone maybe?
