    shortys or full length........

Just all the CRAP in the way. Had to fabricate spacers for the brackets that bolted to the stock exhaust manifolds, like, A/C compressor support, alternator support bracket, oil dipstick tube bracket. Had to slightly bend the A.I.R. injection tube to get it to line up properley with the header...

    shortys or full length........

:confused :confused Maybe on an L98! I'd say on an LT1 it's probably just as easy to install long tubes. The "shorty's" which I do have, were a P.I.T.A. to install :mad I even learned some new cuss words! Keep in mind any emissions systems you may or may not need to keep depending on your...

    Front Spoiler w/Brake Cooling Ducts

I'm interested! ;help Who sells one piece front spoilers with the brake ducts? On the same note: Has anyone installed them brake cooling ducts? If so, did they route OK without pinching when turning the wheels? Not much room up there for cooling ducts!

    Trailering tips...

"Load-Distributing Hitch" Ken, One more tip, get a "Load Distributing Hitch" if you can! They do work great! You can really transfer a lot of the tounge weight to the front axle of the tow vehicle. It still does not make any sense to me about how it works, but it works! No, I do not have one...

    Trailering tips...

"T-Hooks" Hey Ken, Dave, at R & D Racing (yea! that's THE guy :eyerole ) uses the "T-hooks" you are talking about. I'm not sure what he attaches them to on the car? Of course he has one of them "cease-fire" vettes, so who knows? 98% of the vettes I see being trailered, use the factory...

    Trailering tips...

Open Trailers Just my opinion, but, I prefer the open trailers so everybody else on the highway can see what I'm pullin' ! Get lots of looks from 8 year olds to 80 year olds :upthumbs and sometimes :crazy and sometimes :j just depends. Ken, I use the factory tie downs located on C4's in all...

    zaino? What's the big deal

Check out http://www.zainobros.com for info on products. I like it because it has a highly reflective quality to it. Doesn't leave white residue in cracks and around emblems and such. Lasts much longer than conventional waxes. Easy to maintain the finish once it is started...

Yes! I'm not sure of details yet, but our club (http://www.route66corvetteclub.com) will be meeting them at the Holiday Inn in Collinsville, Illinios (East St. Louis) on June 26th evening, around 7:00 p.m. our club will be providing beer and soda to interested parties. Look for the tent and...

    Low tire pressue sensors...

I'm not positive, but I belive that they DID NOT come with the recievers installed in the dash, or the "LTPWS" light would stay on all the time. It's on the same fuse circut as the cruise control. Why would you want them? Unless you want to run "run-flat" tires? Only way to get that darn light...

    Test&Tune:Coolant bypass

Those are some good times, "Sothpaw", for an LT1. I take it you had the 1.6 roller rockers on two years ago? If you really want some lower E.T.'s, get a hold of a set of 4:09, or at least 3:73 rear-end gears, and some drag radials and "Hang-On" Note: Isn't that fuel filter a real P.I.T.A. to...

Whacky Climate Control in my 1996 ????

On a related note: Does anyone know where the "outside air temp." sensor is located? The one that shows the outside air temp. on the electronic display for the heat / a/c ? Mine seems to be about 10 degrees low. and usaully sticks on the same number for a long period of time. Sorry to butt in...

    Spark Plug removal

Try from underneath the car! Remove the 3-bolts that hold the "ASR" in place and move it out of the way. Remove the center section of the wheel wells on both sides, (by the tops of the shocks) Assemble assorted extensions, u-joints, ect..., to reach them. I assure you, it is possible :upthumbs

    Help With Cat-Back Kits!!

Sorry to hear you had trouble Warren, My Corsa fit damm near perfect right out of the box on a 96 Vert. I've had it off and on many times for other mods and maintenance on other parts requiring exhaust system removal. Never had a problem with re-installation. Matt, Corsa sound is better...

    spark plug preference

Try "NGK TR55" plugs, they are copper, not platinum. NGK also has a platinum tipped plug numbered TR55?? it has two letters after the 55, it's the one the auto parts store will try to sell you. You must ask for the TR55 by name.

    Removing A.I.R. system on a 96 ?

Trance is correct! The A.I.R. pump is electrical and mounted down way low in the drivers side front bumper area. I was installing headers on my 96 LT1 as you Trance, this is why I was thinking of removing the system. I ended up going to emissions compliant JBA shorty headers made for the car...
