No spark I had the same problem you have, I replaced every part on the front of the engine, and still no spark. I finally traced it down to the coil wire, where it goes into the Opti. The boot on the wire was split, and it was shorting on the water pump! You have to examine the boot carefully...

Mysterious port It sounds like the PO ran a wire for a radar detector. They usually get the power from the fuse box or splice into the lighter. It probably runs up to the dash, or somewhere near the visor/inside rear view mirror area.

'96 LT4 Clutch I agree--been there, done that. Save yourself from doing it twice. The flywheels are hard to find--I got my at the Dealership! Bite the bullet, and pay the price! You won't be sorry.

Try replacing/inspecting the coil wire--on both ends--look at the boots carefully. The coil wire on our '96 was damaged on the Opti end, the boot was split, and was shorting on the water pump. This is a simple repair.

Clip for Opti vacuum hoses Here is the harness, with the clips attached. The part # 12558921 for the whole harness, clips included. I found that on my LT4 the hoses were soft where they plug into the Opti, so I just ordered this harness, and replaced it all with new stuff!

Runs Rough when hot Injectors!!

Schrade--Your right front tire is on the wrong side. Those are directional tires, and they should have the tread pointing forward, not back. I suspect the one on the other side is on wrong too. Just switch the fromt tires side to side, and you'll be OK.

Engine Miss Tighten your intake manifold bolts. It sounds like a vacuum leak. Look for loose/broken vacuum hoses too.
