Laying face up, looking up under the dash, feet over the seat and re-installing the screws was quite a chore. Of course it was worth every minute....My biggest problem was locating the unit. I had to go to the Corvette newsgroup to get help on the location.

I installed Stage I in my 85' I did notice a big difference in performance, but lost about 1.5 mpg in fuel economy. I have hod no problems at all.

If you are looking to get a really good fit check out Crutchfield. I upgraded my 82 and they sent a kit with adapters that will plug directly in to the original harness. Here is the link if you want to check them out!
