Agreed. I have trouble believing that the SES light could be illuminated while an obvious problem was occuring w/o logging a code. However, how long after these occurences have you had it checked for codes? How many miles and on/off cycles? The next time have it checked ASAP after the symtoms occur.

I can't speak for your early car but on my '95 the exhaust hardware is all metric. If it's roughly the size of a 5/16" bolt (but not) it's a M8 x 1.25. If it's larger than that it's a M10 x 1.50. These are both common sizes on our cars and on GM cars in general for the last 25 years or so.

Not if there's compression leaking in the cooling system. Put a pressure tester on it and tell me how much pressure it's building and in what amount of time.

Tires and wheels are matched by size for a reason. This is not a good thing to do. Why buy a Vette and then go out of your way to screw up the handling? Someone sold you 4 C5 front wheels.

Since you're already a C4 owner, you're not in for any surprises. These are as good as they got. With proper care, all of the '95 and '96s are as reliable as any high performance car on the road. And pretty damned good among cars in general.
