    its a destroked 350 chevy...3.300 stroke with aluminum rods etc.... on the chasis dyno,the motor still had not hit peak horsepower at 7900 rpms and the horsepower curve was still climbing.....down the track,the car is only turning 7100-7200 through the traps and thats when the torque curve...

    hey i wouldnt think it would be a fuel problem...either a fuel pump works or it dosent,usually not an intermitent problem...i had the same thing happen on one of my early vets and it turned out to be a bad ignition module....but it could be something different......when the problem is occuring...

    the battery is in the trunk area.....what i notice is when i come back from a run,the battery usually is at 60%...the meter usually shows around 12volts.....i put the charger on and after awhile it reads 85% charge but my dash guage shows 15.5-16volts....i drop it to 8 amp charge and that drops...

    mad here is the only possible problem i see with your recomendation......as you know combinations have to work together in order to increase performance...if something in the combination dosent match with everything else you have done,it could actually hurt the cars performance....and converters...

    I dont know boys!! this is how it usually works....if you leave it on your car,you will never get a flat...if you take it out and leave it home,guarenteed you will get a flat...you know how that works....especially those low profile, wide tires. once they get low on tread,they are like flat magnets.

    i am totally lost as usual....i have an optima deep cycle battery in a race car with no alternator...between rounds i usually charge the battery up at 10-12 amps and the battery holds up very well...last saturday the car got into the finals and they gave us very little time to charge the battery...
