    Loss of Insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

green i hate to disagree with you...i guess maybe it depends on the insurance company that you have coverage with, that probably is a huge factor...and i agree that fraud and the wacky lawsuits make it tough for all of us...but i hired a very expensive civil lawyer who makes a very good living...

    oil pumps: HP vs HV

rrubel i was always taught to use the formula 10psi per 1000 rpm...so if your running at 5000rpm,you should have a minimum of 50psi of oil pressure.....i have 2 race motors...one goes through the traps at 7200 rpm and i have 70psi of pressure......my other motor buzzes the traps at 8800 rpm and...

    Loss of Insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

from my experience, the insurance companies will do absolutely anything possible NOT to pay your claim. so this dosent suprise me in the least. they have just developed another way out for them to pay .its even worse if you own the vehicle outright. if the bank owns the car, they dont seem to put...

    '84 Rocker panel removal?

i think you have to remove or slide the rear inner well [plastic panel] aside, then reach up in between through the front of the well...i think there is one down low behind the rocker...its hard to see because all the dirt packs up in there and covers the bolt...should be a 9/32

Is My New 383 Gonna Be Toast!!???

oh ps...i forgot to mention...you might want to go around and check your valve spring pressure as well......if you have a hurt or weak set of springs,it will create all kinds of valvetrain geometry funk as you are cruising down the road.

    Horsepower vs Torque????

joe I am still confused...but then again,it dosent take much to mess me up...i launch the car at 4800 rpm and shift the car at 7200 rpm[per comp cams]......if i take an average over that rpm band...the slower motor made an average of 540 horse and 498 lbs of torque........the faster motor had an...
