If you're going to put the car on a trailer make sure you use the tie down hooks as shown in the attached: http://www.corvette-guru.com/uploads/smartsection/15_TowingJacking.pdf don't try to secure the car by its suspension.

1994 codes would be under the center console cover; 95 & 96 were under the rear passenger compartment cover. If you can, post a picture of the code sheet.

It's possible the car was originally ordered by a GM exec. Those guys could get just about anything they wanted.

Before trying that I'd think about moving to southern Florida where I wouldn't need a heater. :D

The heater core in a 94 is pretty much the same as in all C4s. The heater core came down the assembly line and the rest of the car was built around it. :D

Your temps are just fine. There are probably more threads on engine temp then any other topic. I think GM made a mistake by putting in the digital coolant readout. Owners who grew up with cars that ran hot at 210* get nervous when they see the temp creep up over 220 (myself included), even...

I think it is a great idea. As for the OP's commet that discontinuing safety or emissions parts should be illegal, I understand that seat belts for early C4s are no longer available from GM, (and hard to find from the repro mfgrs) even though there is still a valid recall on them. :W

The optispark is the distributor in the LT1 and LT4 engines. It provides very accurate timing, but it sits on the front of the engine on the timing chain cover, right below the water pump. Unfortunately, despite its location, it is not waterproof. A leaking waterpump or an overzealous engine...

Even if you don't want to do the work yourself the FSM is good to have so you can lend it to your mechanic.

There is no AIM for the C4. You'll need the Helms manual.
