Looks like the wiper arm is at a slight angle if you move your wipers to a different position maybe it will give you a little more room. I just ran wires from my latches down the fender wells so that if the cable breaks I can pull the wire on each side and release the latches.

76-77 racks OEM racks had locator pins. 8 hole stainless steel aftermarket racks have the locator pins chrome racks do not. The after market T top mounting kits that i am aware of require the locator pins.:cool!:

The 8 hole rack is the one you need. It has to have the mounting pins for the brackets on the two outer bars and the two inner bars. I have several sets what are you thinking price wise when you say cheap?
Hib I agree. As the saying goes back in the day we always slip fit the bearing and never had a problem. It seems now they are more into the press fit. I will stick with the slip fit method.
