    Question: Upgrade to electronic ignition....

MSD is the way to go. A bit pricy but 100% reliable. Spend the money on the tach drive if you want to keep the tach. I could sell you mine since I went with Pro Comp gauges I don't use it. PM me if you are interested. MSD will 'wake up' your car.

I had no idea they came in chrome. I'll have to check. You made a smart move. Enjoy.

High flow Cats or 'Test Pipe'

Thanks man. I stand corrected. As far as performance, 18 vettes and counting with cats removed (the ones that had them) and I've always had huge performance gains. This is number 19. The mechanic installing my pro-charger is great with writing pcm reflashes and I've seen and driven several of...

Hey Junkie, Nice hood. Where did you buy it? I'm going for a supercharger and I'll need a few more inches of clearance. Thanks, Sal

High flow Cats or 'Test Pipe'

You're quite wrong about the performance gains and the legality. But thanks anyway. Does anyone have a source for test pipes or high flow cats that can be hollowed out? Thanks again

    Offroad X Pipe

Who makes an offroad x-pipe for a C-5. I'm looking for a bolt on system that eliminates the cat converters. Brand and part numbers would be greatly appreciated. :)

    Ball Park $$$ to rebuild a 327/300

Sound high to me. I just ruined all the main and rod bearings on my 63. A good short block rebuild in this area is around $1500- 2000 depending on the amount of machine work. I opted for a new 383 stroker ($1700), roller cam setup ($600 +/-) and reusing my RPM heads. Oh well, always wanted a...

The questions we all get asked......

Getting ready to take it back to Amherst Classic Car for some paint touch up

That's just pure meanness not having at least one engine compartment photo. Just cruel!:drool::drool:

    Clean aluminum intake manifold....

Can I reccomend you clean the inside of the motor. The engine flush products work well.

What backspacing for my new wheels?

The front is close. I had to file the front lower corners. It would rub during a hard turn driving up into a drive. I removed 1/4" of the corner and problem fixed. I'll send photos. Sal

What backspacing for my new wheels?

As I already stated; I have 65 trailing arms on my 63 with disc brakes. Any more questions?

What backspacing for my new wheels?

Why, does it make a difference whether they are factory or aftermarket?

    Michelin Tires

What's the big deal with not buying French. They were right about the Iraq War so why are we still against them?

What backspacing for my new wheels?

Sorry, but I neglected to mention that my 63 has 65 trailing arms on it. 7" rims with 4" backspacing with 225x 55 tires.

What backspacing for my new wheels?

I have the same setup as Pauqualli on my 63 and they fit fine, close, but fine. I found a limited selection of tires in the 18" range so I opted for a 17". If you want pictures, PM me your email and I'll send you a few. Sal
