Look for older threads. I asked the same question a few months ago. I may be easier to cut yours and bolt it back into place. Let me know if you find an easier way.

I'm just looking for decent pipes. Aluminized is fine. No need for stainless. I'd like them quieter than stock pipes but it's hard to compare since every set of 'stock' pipes I've heard are burned out to some extent.
Looks great. I love mine but they are so loud I'm assuming they are rotted on the inside. Do you remember the cost of the pipes? I can get aluminized locally for $220 each.
What's your experience with aftermarket sidepipe suppliers? Who has the best pipe and who has the best price? I need a new set for my 63. I'll probably buy the lesser expensive aluminized pipe but am looking for a good manufacturer.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I wish I had as much confidence in the Keisler set up as you John. My install was a problem and will be for anyone installing in a 63 without body cushions. The tunnel hit badly so I had to raise the body as well as cut out some places on my tunnel and re-glass. Then the driveshaft they sent was...
Herb,
I have this one from Harbor freight and it's worked very well. I do wish it was stronger but being weaker has probably saved some fingers from being torn off. They run it on sale for $39 every once in a while. My suggestions after rebuilding my 63 and doing alot of polishing: Buy one with...
Beautiful John. Question. I have a detached 2 car garage that I am connecting to the house. The new added garage will be 36' wide. How deep is your garage and how tall are the ceilings? I want to put a lift in mine as well and wondered on the minimum needed.
Thanks John. Beautiful!

I just finished doing the same to mine. I disassembled the a arms several times cutting a 1/4 of a coil each time. I got the height right but hated the soft feel. I went with the #460 springs from VBP. If you have the 'shorter' #460 springs removal is easy with no danger of decapitation. With...
Man I hope that isn't the case. I would think the frame is stiff enough that the crossmember doesn't maintain the geometry. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.
I'm sorry I haven't kept up with this thread and all of your responses. I usually get emails telling me when there is a reply but not in...
Thanks everyone. The reason for the removal is a (brand new) noisey throwout bearing. Also, the transmission shifts hard and grinds going into second under mild acceleration. Keisler is willing to go thru it but i need to pull it. I may go thru the top but am looking at easier solutions. I have...
