    The underbelly (pix)

I did some scrubbing under the car where the power steering parts are and a bit later hubby put the headers on and I looked underneath and it was like looking up at a new car :-) I only wish I had "before" photos. It was hard to take pictures so hopefully these make sense. So...

    81/Rear Window- Lift Louver

http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette?frame=4.5234 here is the Lexan one. I am so dreading removing the bubbly window film on the inside of the rear window. I keep reading the instructions and putting it off every year, but this year has to be the one I do it. Let me know if anyone orders the...

How do I remove the shifter knob?

LOL - I wash dishes and work on cars ;-) So I told hubby I had an "idea for the shifter knob" (since the boot was one of my projects) and he basically said what you all said before I even had a chance to say it. As if I was going to really one up him! LOL.

I could use some cheering up

Thank you all for your words of encouragement, stories and overall inspiration. I think when you are tired everything is just so much worse. Hubby worked on the car til midnight and boy did I feel guilty. Thanks for the strap and wrench idea and I think your right that someone probably glued...

I could use some cheering up

This is my first real car restoration and I have to tell you I am drained. The last few pieces of the puzzle are not quite fitting which means more time having to tweak things. Something about a connection to the tranny and the new tranny and there is a new part hitting the oil pan. The...

    stupid question regarding burnouts

I am glad you asked this, I had wondered this too as my husband is the king of the burnouts (least round here). I don't care when its his car but when its the vette I do sort of wonder. I did ask him one day isn't it bad for the car and his answer was sort of like Yoda's. After he breaks in the...
