    brake problem

The brake hoses deteriorate inside creating a flap that acts like a one way valve. Sometimes they won't release, sometimes they won't apply. Mike

    Rear Wheel Bearings (parts needed?)

Texas! I know someone who lives there.:D Speaking of rotors my current supplier has temporarily run out of front replacement rotors. The good news is I have found a very high quality USA cast and machined rotor for a resonable price. Once I confirm availibility I will have them on the website...

    Rear Wheel Bearings Revisited

The best way to check wheel bearings is to jack it up by the frame. Grab the tire at 9 and 3 o'clock and wiggle it There should be a very small amount of play. If it clunks then you definitely have bearing problems. Push in hard on the tire at 12 o'clock. Have someone watch the halfshaft for in...

    Rear Wheel Bearings Revisited

Yes, that is what I am saying. As long as the main parts (trailing arm, bearing support, caliper bracket, flange, and spindle) are not damaged. I will true the spindle with less than .005 runout. More than that it will need to be replaced. All parts are media blasted and painted. Bearings are...

    $1200 Reman Diff Leaking!

It's possible it has the wrong seal in it. The DTS bearing kits come with two seals. One for corvette and one for 12 bolt car rear ends. The gears binding is a whole different issue. It sounds like it was assembled by someone who had no idea what they were doing. Mike Classiccorvetteparts

    $1200 Reman Diff Leaking!

Dave, I am sorry this happened to you. I've been trying to warn people. I get warned at CF, and then a threatening letter from our least favorite person, and I promised Rob I would not drag it over here to CAC. I also asked Rob to remove my administator status in case there was any conflicting...

    Replacing A/C Compressor

You need to replace the accumulator and the orfice tube. If the old compressor was making any noise you will need to flush the condenser and the lines. Any trash in the system will be stuck on the orfice tube. The accumulator does three jobs. It's a dessicant to remove moisture, it seperates oil...
