Part #
Claude, The part # for a 1963 2nd design is 352635, I have no listing for a 1962. I have the generals complete parts database on my computer @ work and Corvettes from 1953-2005. John
I saw "Overhaulin" Tuesday night and Chip Foose and the crew were overhaulin a 64 Vette. They used 13" Bayer brakes and said they were prototypes to a production kit. I called them and was told they will be availiable in early Feduary. 05, but require 17" wheels to clear those 13" rotors. So...
Lsi Into C2
Hello, I haven't put an LS1 into a C2, But have put them into Datsun Z'S and late model GM G cars. 1st of all Street and Performancemakes makes some neet adaptors that convert the LS1 to early style motor mounts. The rest is pretty straight forward, if you have any questions don't...
500 Mi Break In
On a new engine, transmission, differential it takes a little time for the moving parts to seat together and there is another factor most people aren't aware of. The oils, engine/transmission/differentianl are contamineted with microscopic pieces of metal from the moving parts...
don't like pain
The only reason I am using header wrap on the mufflers inside my sidepipes is too lower the temperature of the sidepipes so myself and whoever is riding with me won't experence the pain from a burn. I have had numerous friends and girlfriends with burned legs and I know how much...
I just don't understand
Why have the ultimate toy and not play with it? Too me its like having a gorgeous wife and/or girlfrind and not sleep with her. John
Header Wrap
I got a roll from Summit and had about 10' left over. I was suprised how well it worked. With the pipes good and hot (after hard driving), you can touch the pipes w/o hearing that frying bacon sound. I don't mean you can jusy lay your hand on then and not burn, I would guess they...

I have found the easy way to remove incerts from side pipes. Take a piece of 4" x 4" and drop or almost throw down the side pipe (header opening side) on too the 4" x 4" and the incert comes out, Just nake sire the side pipe is vertical or you could bend it. A long threaded rod woth a 3.5"...
Hooker Side Pipe Inserts
I put in a set of Powersticks in my bb 66, 3" core with 3 7/8 to 3" reducers cut from 4" to 3" hooker reducers. I used header wrap too reduce the sidepipe temperature( it worked great). I just returned from Crusin The Coast in Bolixi and they work great, a little loud...
Tom, I purchashed them from Sube Sports. www.Subesports.com they are good people. I did not use the adaptors, they take up too much headroom. I bolted the sliders to the floor with 5/16" x 2" elevater bolts with the heads cut to fit inside of the sliders. The front holes match up perfect...
I have done extensive research on aftermarket seats for my 66 coupe and with only 19" of floor width to work with the only seats I could fit were Cobra, Lemans. They are made in England and are of high quality. They look and feel like Recaros. The frames are made by Recaro. I hope this helps...
The trick is to use a Long Mfg. shifter, it is far superior to the Hurst shifter for the Richmond 5 speed. Richmonh uses Long for ther 6 speeds. The Long is the smothest shifter I have ever used.
DO YOU KNOW OF A DIFFERENTIAL THAT WILL WORK IN A MIDYEAR, THAT IS STRONGER THAT THE STOCK UNIT? MY CAR RUNS IN MID 11'S & 125MPH WITH NITTO DRAG RADIALS
Did Your's Come With An A/t From The Factory?, I Understand That The A/t Cars Had A Removable Crossmember. On 66-67 M/t(the Ones I Have Experence With), There Is About 6"-7" Interference Problem With The Crossmember And The Lower Part Of The Richmond 6 Speed. On A Stock M/t Frame The Tranmission...
its all a numbers game, you need aprox. 9.5-10 to 1 in 1st gear ratio on a small block and aprox. 9 to 1 on a big block. This is found by multiplying 1st gear raiti by rear end raito. ie:3.08(rear end raito) x 3.01(1st gear raito in my richmond 5 speed)=9.27. This makes for strong acceleration...
