I sent Speedline (in Italy) an e-mail about a week ago inquiring about the Hub Concentric Rings for the 2000 Magnesium Wheels and I have not heard back from them yet............if I do I will pass what ever they tell me on............
I also talked to Speed Line"s only Dist. in Indiana (Tire...
For those of you looking for those "hard to find" Magnesium Wheels rings or I found out they are called "Hub Centric Rings", the Goodyear Dealer in Plymouth Michigan has them...but there is a "catch". They said there are different sizes and I would have to bring one of mine in so they could...
Just picked up our 2000 Corvette this past weekend. It has the Magnesium Wheel option. Can't find any info anywhere on them.
They look like they are painted but I am not sure. Car only had 1234 miles on it so there are no nicks or chips on the wheels yet.
If they are painted does anyone know...
It's an automatic, have bum left knee, for me manuals are thing of the past.........my 442 has a Hurst Dual Gate........the best of both worlds..............

Thanks for the tip. I did check that out before I bought the car home. It had 1200 miles on it, battery looks like new (as everything else does), but i did see a posting about the battery leakage and am planning on changing the wet cell out for a AGM type. Thanks again.
Thanks for the info C4C5. I figured it had a serious perpose, since the weights were painted the same color as the wheel.
just wanted to make sure.

Just picked up our 1st Corvette. 2000 with the Magnesium wheels. The wheel balancing weights for some reason are on the outside of the wheels. Any reason they can't be moved to the inside or back of the wheels, out of sight? Looks very tacky.
Picked up our first Corvette today. 2000 Convertible. Drove it home from Ohio (213 miles). What a blast. Nothing like my 72 442. I'm a 60's -70's muscle car guy but this puts them all to shame. I can see why all Corvette owners I have met are so geeked about thier cars. Like having...
Am picking up my 1st Corvette. It's a 2000 Convertible with only 1200 miles on it. Don't know yet exactly the reason for the low miles or how long it sat between drives. The used car dealer that I am buying it from has put 100 or so miles on it recently. Anyway am looking forward to getting...
Oh I am going to drive the car before I hand the check over. Also taking a buddy of mine who is a drivetrain development eng. at the GM proving grounds (he was involved in the design & testing of the C5) and I am going to have him take it for a drive. He will know if all is ok with the car...
