    Lowering

I imagine there would be some tension unless you jack up the car so that the rear wheels are not supported from the bottom (ie not on the pavement).

    Lowering

I'm sure you can just take a caliper to the ones you have on there already. I don't think the bolts are different besides the fact they they are just longer. I don't think thread spacing should even matter. Just get the right nut for the bolt. my $0.02

    Cold Air Induction

A couple of questions about your SLP setup. What kind of work was it to put in? How much did you pay for this system?

    Lowering

Wow. $45 for two bolts and two nuts. They are netting quite a bit on that kit. :puke What is the way to lower the front? What does that involve?

    Getting another removable panel (targa)

I'm in the Navy right now, but I was born and raised in Middlesex. What about you?

    Getting another removable panel (targa)

Thanks. Do you know of any Corvette salvage yards in Jersey by any chance?

    New (to me) 1996 Corvette

Beautiful looking CE. LT4 or LT1? I've only had my '96 for about a year now, and I've got to tell you, these are reliable cars and (I can only speak for the LT4) this Corvette is a rocket...with 16/27 mpg. You can't beat that. Our '96s have the beautiful looks of the C4s, and the technology...

    Getting another removable panel (targa)

Here's the plan: Long story short, I'm going to "engineer" my '96 to start carrying surfboards on herself, so the best way (I think) is to buy a used (in no great condition) solid roof panel (targa top, if you may) and just to bolt on/through a pair of roof racks. Here's my question. As I...

    Battery gone dead?

What draws current when the car is off on our C4s?? I'm guessing some function of memory for the ECM, but what else? That shouldn't be drawing much at all, no?

    Performance Chips

    How??

    Working on your C4...

When you guys get under your C4, what do you do? I have a nice set of ramps but I'm scared to death to put a jack and stands under her...Just doesn't look like there is much room and you could really bang some edges up on her.

    Helms

    Any ideas???

    Helms

I can't find anything where it specifies the red covers from the other ones (white cover).

    Working on your C4...

Right, those are the two books for the '96? Also, is there somewhere to get the assembly manual for my '96? I had it for the '78 and it was one of the most helpful form of documentation when it came to assembly/disassembly.

When you guys talk about the Helms manual, what are you referring to??

I would love to get rid of that 1-4 shift. Will a tune cure that?

    '96 Service/shop manual(s)

So I just called these people about these manuals they have (http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?class%5F2=CHV&mk=Chevrolet+%26+Geo&yr=1996&md=Corvette&dt=&module=&from=result&Style=&Sku=GMP96Y&itemtype=N&mscsid=1D1KN9N753F19KWBX3AW2N9E8X6841AD), and she said they are the factory manuals...

    '96 Service/shop manual(s)

Would you happen to have the contact information for this friend? I'd really appreciate it if I could get a hold of them. Thanks

    Working on your C4...

I got to agree with you here. I'm all about the hood on these C4s. You open that girl up and all of a sudden there is no body in front of you. I love it. Such a good design with that. I'm buying the shop manuals real soon. I can't wait to learn a thing or two about these newer ones. For...

    Glasspacks on my '96

I'm really after these Cherry Bombs. But I'm getting myself real confused. At first, I was looking to get a nice exhaust system and just bolt it on (hopefully whatever I end up with is still "bolt on" and no modification). I'm looking for everything, headers to the tailpipes. I wanted to get...
