And I thought Bill Mitchell's 454 small block was the limit ...

So that 472 SBC probably doesn't have too much material between each cylinder. Unless it has a huge stroke and not as much bore as we would expect.

And I thought Bill Mitchell's 454 small block was the limit ...

How can that still be considered a small block? What makes a small block a small block and a big block a big block?

    Mr.Goat

That's a good question. Mind boggling to me as well! :D My guess would be that it has a heavy duty drivetrain. But so does the Corvette. I really have no idea why it would be that heavy. Well the body is a lot heavier than a Corvette's, but I don't think it would put it that much over the top.

    Mr.Goat

Besides the Corvette (and some may say possibly including the Corvette) the old classics that we all love can not and will not be recreated. This is 2005, not 1969. Today's society won't allow sub-10 MPG. And the American car makers can't be competing with the 15 mpg, they only have the names...

Mysterious C3 - Biloxi, MS, New Years Eve

It wouldn't be the first Corvette I've owned but if I'm looking for something interesting on a later-C3 and I already have 5 - 10 Corvettes then I guess I wouldn't mind it. :D

Mysterious C3 - Biloxi, MS, New Years Eve

I'm not sure at all but my first and instinctive guess would be Greenwood. But I wouldn't put money on that.

    Vacuum hose - inner diameter

Actually, I don't even know what this EFE system does. I figured it was part of emissions. Don't get me wrong, I would be the first person to rid myself of the burden we call emissions, but I still have to pass the exaust test. :(

    Vacuum hose - inner diameter

I bought a new EFE switch, goes right on top of the tstat, and I went out to get new vacuum hoses for it, but the 7/32" inner diameter seemed a little too loose around the male end of the switch. Anybody have any ideas of what the standard inner diameter of these vacuum sources require? Can't...

    Something a little different

I don't like it. Makes it look too Euro.

    Suspension choice

By then youl'l be looking at that beautiful 7.0 Liter and wanting that. ;) I agree though, 6-speed and no other thing. That would be fun as hell.

    2005 Z06

Magnesium?! What would be the benefit of that? Just better home no little flame gets to that sheet of metal. ;) Going to be a BRIGHT hot fire. :D

    Suspension choice

I thought that the Z51 package was more than just a suspension package (brakes, tires, gear ratio, etc.). No?

Fuel filter replacement - removing the fuel line

Got it out! Wasn't too bad, just needed a little more torque. ;) Thanks, Rick!!

Fuel filter replacement - removing the fuel line

A new line would be a big project. That wraps under the engine, doesn't look easy to install a new one of them.

Fuel filter replacement - removing the fuel line

That's what I was doing. Holding the 1" wrench while turning counter-clockwise on the 5/8" wrench. Yet it seemed to be doing more bad than good. No? Should I just continue on like that?

Power brake booster vacuum feed grommet - where can I get one?

Nope, none of them in Jersey. :D I do have a Pep Boys near by though, I'll go take a look there. Thanks!
