i recently heard from the guy who's selling the 96 ce. he says he took it to the dealer and they are saying that it's leaking around the timing chain cover and it'll cost in excess of 800 bucks. he's currently got it back at the people who did the engine rebuild hoping to get it taken care of...

it's got about 75,000 miles on it, and about 3000 on the engine. he says he has the paperwork on the engine but i haven't seen it yet.

thanks for the info randy. but i think i'm really leaning toward an 96 ce lt4. i found one in md, and one in florida. the md one is close by, but it's had the engine rebuilt 3000 miles ago...i don't really know what to make of that. i might check it out this weekend.

the seller says that the work was done by kearney automotive and the mill work was done by capital engine. i'm not sure is they're gm certified. the work came with a three year unlimited mile warrenty, but unfortunately it's not transferable. checked out your other two posts. they're pretty...
