    I've made my decision

edmond, enjoy the shopping experience. the lt4 is awesome!!! it's often said that the hp/torque is higher on the lt4 than the ls1...having driven both, i tend to agree with that. if you find anything in the washington d.c. area, i'll be happy to do the recon for you. i still owe you one from...

    hurtful comment

i'm a fan of all corvettes, but i've got to say that the c3 is probably the most unique generation of all time. it would never be mistaken for another car. someday, i'd love to own one...perhaps an l88 or zl1...:beer ...hey, it's ok to dream!!!

Question about exhaust mods on a C5

corsa tourings...no resonance at all.:_rock if you can get the back of the car high enough you can pull the old units out whole. i was not comfortable jacking my rearend that high up, so i cut the pipes with a chain type pipe cutter (free loaner from autozone). i knew that i would be...

    CAGS eliminator

bypass the cags!!! it's only $25 and you never have to think about it again. all these posts are correct, there are plenty of ways to avoid it, but why be bothered with it. i like the freedom of not having it. just my $.02.:beer cheers, tom

    Road Course Racing - Help

silver98, i am signed up for a similar event at summit point in wv in june. it's called f.a.t.t. (friday at the track), and it's considered a performance driving school. according to one of my coleagues who is an instructor at these sort of things, insurance will cover you because it's...

A used car dealer put this.......

spanishvetts -- correct me if i'm wrong, but this sounds like an homage to "fawlty towers". great reference. :L when we bought my wife's volvo last year, i tried to remove the dealer sticker but the wife wouldn't let me...she likes the way it looks (it's silver and matches the car).:confused

Good thing the Vettes were inside....

a few years ago i got stuck in a really bad hail storm in my brand new dodge ram sport 4x4.:mad when the hail was coming down it was so loud that my wife and i couldn't hear each other even when yelling. it did a lot of damage to the truck. i've always wondered how hail affects fiberglass...

    hi flow cats

forgive me if this is a dupe...i tried searching and couldn't find anything along these lines.:) i'm wondering if it's worth it to replace my original cats with hi-flows. i'm not ready to do the headers yet, but i'm wondering if i'll get an hp increase by just replacing my old 70,000+ mile...

C5 Threads We Never Need Again

imo...there's no such thing as too much information. a lot of new people haven't mastered the search feature yet, so you do see some of the same things over and over...but often there's a new twist and people have updated answers:) . i know the "other forum" has a tendancy to flame the hell...

    Corsa Touring On C5

i TOTALLY recommend them!!! they are mild when you want them to be and agressive at wot. best thing about them is there's absolutley no resonance at all. also, if you find them too mild, you can always add headers and/or cats. currently i'm stock from the exhaust manifolds to the corsas.

    zo6 exhaust on ls1

phil, that's true, headers and hi-flow cats will make for a cool sound. z06 mufflers, with headers and cats is a popular set up. that's why i went with the corsa tourings (quieter of the two models), so i could get the headers and hi-flows down the road and have a great tone without...
