Anyone NOT run their front plate?

when i bought my c5 it had no front cover, so i'm kinda forced to use the front plate. when i had the c4 i never used the front plate, just kept it behind the passenger seat. i'd love to find a painted to cover so i can make the car look right again.

Effect of hail on a Corvette

hawaii-5-lo, a few years ago i bought a brand new black dodge ram. after i had it about 3 months, i got stuck in a wicked hail storm. it was covered with tiny dents all over the hood, roof and left side...total bad luck:( . bottom line, insurance did cover the damage, in fact when i...

    my differential

c4c5, thanks for the reply. here's a little elaboration. the noise is evident when i pull away at normal driving speeds and sometimes when i slow down. it's somewhat sublte (in that i don't hear it if the radio's up). the sound is a mixture of a clunk and a cluck and it only happens once...

    my differential

there's a possibility that my differential is the cause of a clunking noise coming from the rear of my car. i'm planning on changing the fluid and i'm curious as to what people are using on their c5s (gm standard, redline etc);shrug . i understand that there's a posi additive that i need to...

How is getting in/out of a C5 compared to the C4?

when i used to drive mum around in the c4, she compared it to getting out of a bathtub...pretty good analogy..:D :) the c5 is wayyyyyyyy easier.:cool

    who torques their lug nuts?

sounds like there may be a new torque wrench in my future. i figured it was pretty important. i just wish my existing wrench went higher then 75. thanks for all the input.

    who torques their lug nuts?

i've heard that if you remove your wheels, it's important to torque them to proper specs when putting them back on. the specs for my c5 are somewhere in the 100s...the craftsman torque wrench that i got for christmas only goes to 75. so i'm wondering how important proper torque on wheel lugs...
