Its still paint, I clean/polish and wax my GM wheels twice a year. Found these #s on another forum. The factory paint code for the 96CE wheels is DuPont #C9201 or GM WH9819 and DuPont #1080S for the clear coat. i'm assuming it's the same for zr-1 wheels.

The reverse light switch is on the side of the transmission may be bad or just needs cleaning. Its the brass plug, the other larger switch is the 1-4 lockout.

Another thing to check is the rubber line that connects the fuel pump to the line in the tank, the line can swell and the plastic clamps get old and break.

Great link for someone that has never done this. I will add if after doing this and the air always defaults to the lower vents you may have an issue with the programmer under the drivers knee bolster generally the the vacuum gang plug in the top corner.
