    Question: Best weather strip kit.

Most of them come from Metro Molded Parts or AM Softseal anyway. The Vette houses just repackage them. Beware of inexpensive, off-shore crap.

    Dual Mass Flywheel Problem?

Just put a Fidanza in it and forget about it for several years. Fidanza Flywheel & Performance Parts worked great in our 90Z.

    Help! '75 blinker trouble :/

Also do yourself a favor and tie a string to the plug end of the old switch befor you pull it up the tube then when you put in the new switch tie the string to the new plug and use it to help draw the wires back down the tube.

    Help! '75 blinker trouble :/

    Think it's time for a new TS switch. RockAuto has them 23.99 w/o T&T & 53.79 w/T&T.

    LED Headlights

Truck Lite brand are DOT approved as they are a major mfg. Off shore lights are a big problem. Many states, Texas being one of them, no longer require aiming of headlights and it shows (pun intended). Was dropped due to consumer complaints about shops failing cars yearly safety inspections...

    LED Headlights

Haven't seen any square ones yet. Truck Lite makes 5 3/4 & 7 rounds.

    News: New Colorado ZR1 owner.

Try Looking Glass Corvettes, they are from up there and do a lot of Open Road Racing. We run into them all the time at Big Bend and Arnold.

New ZR1 Owner in Central FLA

OEM windshields are VERY expensive! Last I saw was priced at about a grand. The windshield had the special gold tint due to the A/C evaperator being down sized to make room for the engine. I know several people that have used the standard ones in hot areas and are happy with them. Our 90Z has...

    Question: C5 battery types??

Optimas always had the odd habbit of failing very quickly or lasting for many years. If you get an Optima from Interstate it can only be warrantied by Interstate. Went through that a year ago with one I got in a used car. A friend owns the parts store and is a Optima dealer but with CarQuest and...

    Shelby C4s.... How rare?

There are pictures of Shelby Super Snake Mustang #1 with a Chevy heart beat on the back window. Bunch of the guys that run Vettes at Arnold, NE put the decals on during the award dinner after the race two years ago.

Question: Fuel filter to carb metal line replacement

Yep, it's just a brake line. I second the 19 year old parts guy. I don't believe Orings came to fuel lines until high pressure fuel injection and the main reason they use the quick disconnect fittings is ease of connection and speed. The fuel filters on C4s still used the inverted flair. Be nice...

    Question: Your first car

Don't know about the law suites but we still change the collars to this day. The pot metal shift collar and detent spring get worn and don't hold the lever up & tight so it vibrates and falls down. Did two last yerar, a 66 Falcon and a 76 Ranchero. Late model Jeep Gran Cherokes (sp?) have the...

    Question: C5 battery types??

I would use and recomend an Optima. GMs bright idea of putting the car's ECM under the battery has cost many owners grief and $$$$$$$. An Optima or another brand of AGM battery will prevent this from happening.

    alternator to battery

Good to hear it's running again w/o a wiring problem. New batteries here are hit & miss as well. Some last 6 years and some 6 months.

Question: How is the 64 Radiator held in place?

Get the book on CD as well. Then you can run off a copy of what ever sheet you need and not get a printed book filthy. They take up a lot less space too.

Is This Normal? Service Writer Says So!

Although I don't believe in cutting rotors, the story is the same at many shops. Did some work on a 68 Ford LTD for an older gentleman (one owner car) after he took it to Goodyear to have the transmission serviced. After being parked in the garage he found trany fluid under the car. Took it...

    Towing and Driving in snow/ice

As far as the trailer goes, you might want to look at buying one. When my son moved to CT from TX we rented a UHaul for his tool box and some other big, heavy items. On the return move it was about $100.00 more to BUY a nice, new, small trailer. While we kept ours you could sell it when you get...

WTB ZR-1 Coolant Hoses & PVC Hoses

I saw the Samco's on eBay as well. Use them and save the OEM ones for the car's "collector" days.

    Question: Your first car

1959 Ford Custom 300, pink with a green interior from the factory. 292 2spd auto with no reverse. Paid $50.00 for it. Got really good at finding parking spaces you didn't need to back out of.
