What is the procedure you used to "bed" the brakes? It sounds like a worthwhile practice. thanks
OG, I used the method described in these links for the pads and rotors.

Of course the Z 51 option is more than just the suspension differences, it's a whole package designed for better performance on the track and street. I do not have direct experience with the Magnetic ride but the two people I know who have it say they cannnot tell much difference between the...
Not really I've never had the problem but I believe there has been some bad batteries. I also think that some might have bumped their interior light switch. And of course the putting it in 5th rather than reverse. Also I think supposedly there is a fuse or relay #46? that is for a headlight...
You will have to perform the relearn procedure for the window indexing after a dead battery isssue. I removed my battery once and did not lose anything stored in memory but one window would not index. I also installed my cags bypass last week. No problems with that so far.
I had the oppurtunity to run my Z51 C6 on the road course at Gainesville last week. I took the car up to and once or twice beyond its cornering capabilities. The dry traction of the SC Emts are amazing. I have driven this car alot in the rain, the wet traction of the tires are not as impressive...
A 40' turning radius does not sound right. I have not measured mine but I would guess it is close to half that distance. You won't have any problems manuevering this car.

I guess you posted this in the C6 section because we have much better taste than the C5 owners?
I prefer red lettering on the rear of a black car as well as red calipers. Thats my .02
LOVE mag red!! had a 2000 mag red and now have a 2005 mag red....it is the same color only more metallic in it, more sparkly, really classy color..Mrs. Cool

I was driving in west Texas on I 10 going with the flow of traffic at about 75 to 80 mph. Driving thru a lite to moderate shower (there was no puddling of water) the car lost traction and began to drift sideways the active handling engaged and the car straightened out. Everything...
TPW Targeted Production Week. Sorry can't answer the other question but it's really going to suck getting your car in the middle of winter. Maybe you better start planning a trip down south. Excellent choice in color by the way.

Your not the only one with the squealing noise. I've only heard mine do it twice, I was surprised it does not do it more often. It's my understanding that the composition of the brake pad is designed for superior heat rejection. Unfortunately the trade off is noisier brakes.
After 12 states and 9,776 trouble free miles I have one minor complaint. The nice lady that lives under my dash can be annoying sometimes when she tells me to continue driving straight as we approach some exits on the interstate. Sometimes she can do this every few minutes if its a major...
I had some staining on my tail pipes that I used a metal polish like Brasso on them, that really shined them up. On the polished aluminum wheels I'm very cautious and just use soapy water and Meguires Quick wax and Quick detailer.
I also bought the extended coverage for peace of mind in case of a major problem but wound up getting my moneys worth fixing the smaller problems. The memory system for my seats failed and the rocking seat syndrome were repaired using the GMPP extended warranty. When I sold my 2000 the new buyer...
I would suggest you find an installer in Naples before you pick up the car. There are no factory cut pieces avilable yet so they will have to order a sheet of the material and make there own template. It took over a week for my installer to get the material from his supplier.
