The C6 does not have a retractable air dam like the C5. It's just a very flexible 3 piece rubber air dam that does look like it is easily replaced. So far it appears to have very little wear on it even though it scrapes everytime I leave or enter my driveway.
Got the car the first week of Sept. but because of the Hurricanes and extra work load from the storms I barely managed to put on 500 miles the first month. Drove out to So. Cal in Oct. then up to the Columbia River Gorge. We came back along the Oregon/California coast. Then out to Yosemite...
We did a 500 mile road trip this weekend and got 24.5 mpg, no interstate driving. The previous 8,800 miles we did not track the gas mileage but it seemed like it was pretty good.

Tail of the dragon is on the Tn. NC. border (Smokey Mountains) you can get there by taking I 40 east out of Nashville to Maryville where you can pick up rt 129. then home thru N. Ga. I think your big problem might be the time of year. You do not want to run into any icy roads up there...
Dad thats what I was referring to when I said I tried it, the car started. And I was able to drive it. There is no mention of this in the manual just a reference to killing your battery if you leave it out of reverse when you shut the car down.
Now come on, if you turn your car off and leave the key in the ignition someone can steal your car.
If you turn off the C6 and do not put it in reverse someone can steal your car.
In both cases the chimes will warn you that something stupid is occuring.
Oh yea, We came down out of Oatman a few years ago and went thru there in a rented Blazer. Last year we got close to going back in my '00. We were on the north side of the Canyon. This fall I would like to get back there in our '05.

Can you give me some info on the clear stuff you are putting on your car. I've been to several detailers here and they are waiting for there manufacturers to make a laser cut version for the C6.
I suspect if you want to see msrp you will probably have to wait a little while. Also right now I think most of these cars are coming out of the factory loaded up.
Wow Zippy 1300 miles already. It will be the first of the month before we get a chance to really put this car to a test with a cross country drive. Driving home from our monthly vette club meeting last night i could not get over how stunning the gauges look when they are iluminated. Pictures...
Rain, I'm sure glad you said that and not me. Heres a shot of the nav screen. You can scale it from 1/16th mile to 128 miles.

I got my car Friday morning. Friday night we had the downtown Friday Fest. They close off the main street and the car clubs bring their cars down and park in their own sections. Venders and djs set up some street musicians show up. It drums up some business for the shops downtown. I'm the second...

The radio has three hard controls one to get to the radio screen one to seek the stations and one for volume everything else is done with the touch screen. It was very easy to set up. My wife had us listening to Rush (Limbaugh not the band) in no time. The display buttons are large...
