Yup, seems like I could make my garage into a carport pronto! Thanks y'all for the info. I was struggling with the idea that you would set the timing in drive, but I guess that is the deal.
I have been on a very slow reassemble and test of an oil leak expedition (new, head gaskets, clean up...
Can anyone tell me what the "(DR)" means on the timing data sticker? It has columns for Auto. and Man. trans with the timing advance, but I do not know what the codes mean...may be drive? The manual side has an N which may mean neutral...you can see I am guessing. Help.
SOOOOO, Did ya beat him off the line? Let's face it when you and a brother are doing mods there is a little sibling motivation!
Seriously, do you recall the performance of your brother's car? I was considering the mixed bag idea. I can not remember either as to which get the 1.6 & which get...
I have done some reading lately and there seems to be some deceases that can occur in a change to a higher lift. Check out this article for the specifics that I don't remember. http://www.vetteweb.com/tech/0204vet_rockers/
I was thinking the 1.6's would be cool as well until I read this...
Do you want to have them REALLY cleaned? I sent mine to this guy. http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/fuel-injector-cleaning.htm who cleans and tests them. When you get them back, they have new o-rings and pintal caps ready to install. Now, I have not run mine yet, but there are several...
I am interested in purchasing some full Roller rockers and would be interested in some opinions of either buying stainless steel for strength or aluminum for weight/price. I have a stock L98 with Al heads and think it is a kinda cheap true bolt on performance enhancer based on my research...
I can not remember the name of the company for the life of me, but there is a company that publishing brand know copies of the service manuals for any year. It is the same thing you see folks buying on ebay for $80 and as I recall they were in the $90's with shipping and you got to put the...
He just quivers when you ask him about the Shelby. He is a drag guy who has always race ponies. I do think the Mustang is a cool looking car. I feel sad for all the folks that bought the V6, but it is a free country...mostly. The Mustang was never in the same class when Ford put the back...
I am about to install my manifold and am a little conflicted. I have a FEL-PRO upper kit (MS093318) and the instructions say nothing of using RTV/"The Right Stuff" around the water holes. The Haynes manual calls for it, but I am afraid to put any on the holes as the gasket may not require...
Did you use "The Right Stuff" around the water inlets? Also, the manual calls for some thread locker on the manifold bolts, are you saying that you used "T.R.S?"

I have got a tap/die set of both metric and SAE. I alway run into trouble as there is little difference between certain metric thread pitch and SAE thread pitch. I am concerned as I am about to run a tap down the head thread holes and do not want to mess up:ugh. I really just need to know it...
I can use fancy words but can not figure out for the life of me what size the manifold bolts are on my L98 motor! Plenum bolts too! I think they are metric (1.25 pitch I think), but am not sure as my tap set is just the popular stuff and this may be some obscure size.
To further thwart my...
Thank you Sir for you and your families heroic sacrafice for me and my family. God bless you and yours as you do what most would not dream of doing.
110% support from me and mine.
