    81 dash harness

Does anyone here know why the dash harness for the 81 is so much harder to find than other c3 dash harnesses? Of course, hard to find means big money for a fistful of wires and some GM connectors. I just don't see anything special about it that justifies the price. :confused

    Warning! My Buyavette Experience

I didn't get the sense that he was trashing the dealer. I simply chalk it up as another example of buyer beware.

    what do you think?

It's interesting, but I'd need to verify the information in the description before making a final call. My gut reaction is to pass on this.

    ebay buyer protection for vette?

I don't think it is wise to purchase any used car without seeing it and driving it first :ohnoes. Spending a few hundred bucks on plane tickets is cheaper than the headaches you'll face if there are hidden problems. See the car in person. Do a thorough inspection or hire a pro to do it if you...

Help! Engine swap of L83 motor for X-fire 1982

Ok, let me qualify this by stating unequivocally that I am not an expert mechanic. Maybe it could be done, and maybe it cannot; you'd need someone who is an expert on crossfire. But, why on Earth would you want to salvage the crossfire injection and put it on a perfectly good crate motor? I...

My 1974 Corvette Video, Enjoy !!!

The music is too loud. I love the vette, though... nice work! :beer Why did you decide to leave the standard ignition key in place? Was there a reason that it could not be removed?

It reminds me a bit of the 1980 Duntov turbo. Did you do anything special to the interior?

    opinion about an LT1 in a C3

Are you certain that a 1982 Corvette would need to be checked? I have to get emissions checks on my newer cars, but there is an exemption for classic cars. Your Corvette is now 27 years old, so it seems you should be able to get an exemption. Call the DMV and find out.

:( My '74 Big Block on Ebay

Congratulations on becoming a Dad. My son is two, and I toyed with selling my 81 shortly after he was born. I ended up keeping it, and I am so glad that I did. My son is growing up to be a major gear head. He loves all cars, but especially sports cars. He loves pointing out all the cars on the...

    $26 vette paint job?

That's the rub, isn't it? Finding quality people who do quality work isn't easy, and price isn't a direct indicator of quality. We all know that a $28 roller paint job isn't going to be high quality. What we don't know is whether the guy that charges $6,000 is going to be any better than Earl...
