    Super amps !!

Examine the connector on the side of the alternator, the red wire is voltage sensing, if it is intermittent the alternator will go into high output.

    CARB ADJUST?

OK, whats the total timing and at what RPM?

    CARB ADJUST?

Thats not entirely true, the Idle mix screws also feed into the off idle circuit. Most likely you need to reset them, odds are it wasn't right to begin with. Timing has to be correct also. What year, motor, mods are you running?

    Interior armrest/door handle kit

Thats a pretty good kit if you set it with Epoxy.

    Engine Timing

Without looking it up I can't remember what code 12 is. There are some basic setup adjustments for the carb. You need a shop manual for that year vette, there is a step by step for each of the codes in the book. Without knowing the history on your car you can't know what the deal is. I would...

    Someone Bubba'd my wiring

The sensor in the passenger head is for the aux fan on the radiator. For the tach, you should have a wire coming off the distributor going thru a filter and then into the harness and down to the bulkhead connector. Its a tan/white wire

    79 w/electric choke

Yes, thats exactly what I mean. Key On = choke has power

    79 w/electric choke

It needs to go to a switches 12v source. If your came with an electric choke, there should be a wire in the harness on the drivers side fender (Blue on an 81) If not, use the yellow wire on the windshield wiper motor.

    Stuck Caliper Mounting Bolt

Like mentioned above, use a 6 point socket on an impact if you have access to one. If not, you might need to go ahead and pop the ball joints and take the spindle assembly off with the caliper on it and find someone with an impact gun. If thats not succesful, like mentioned above, use a sharp...

    Choke wire? Bubba Strikes.

Yea mine has too, I just went out and looked at it.

    Choke wire? Bubba Strikes.

Its probably cut off inside the harness back towards the firewall. Skin it out, its there somewhere.

    Choke wire? Bubba Strikes.

The choke wire is Blue, it comes out of the firewall connector C115 and runs along the drivers side fender and comes out of the harness next to the alternator

    81 Performance Chip

I don't think the CCC is locked out at WOT, it just is ignoring the input from the O2 sensor. Its still paying attention to the TPS, vss, vac and setting the timing. Thats what I think I understand anyways

    HELP! FIRE!

You must have moved the plug wire against the header. Once you shut it down and there was no air moving around it flamed up.

Always takes 3 tries to start...

Sounds like choke issues on both cars. Things to look at: Choke closeing when cold, it should have 1/4" or so gap at the front edge of the blade when cold and full open when warmed up With the engine full cold, before starting or cranking, remove the air cleaner, hold the choke open and look...

    81 rough idle

OK, so by process of elimination, clear the following: Vac leaks, I use an unlit mapgas torch around the intake, carb base plate, vac hoses etc with the engine running. If the engine speeds up you have found a leak. You can also disconnect and cap all the vac hoses for all the various stuff to...

    YEE HAWW!! PROGRESS!! Video

YeeHaw!! Got this thing fired up tonight, first time it has jun since last July. Got a long way to go before its on the road, but at least it makes noise now. Fired forst time I turned it over. Set Static timing, 10 gallons in the tank, filled the carb and it fired up and idled.

    Fuel Sending Unit

The sender unit is over $100, unless you found a very good deal. Usually what happens is the sender internals get worn out and either stop making contact or sticks

    Fuel Sending Unit

I don't think you need to pull the tank, it may come out with the tank in place. Damn things are expensive, look into the cheap one from JC whitney and use it to fix yours
