I like the choice of words regarding locating the Tush holders. I knew modman would get them to work! Never had any doubts!
Chris no special thanks are are necessary. Enjoy them, my friend!
Lets see a warmed up ZZ4 & Hooker sidepipes. That would change the whole personality of the car. Sounds like a terrible idea to me. Why would you want crisp performance & a great sounding V8 rapping away:L
At 6'3" I guess I can weigh in on this one. Headroom is not a problem! But footroom is a little crampt till you get to C5. The C4 feels nearly as bad as an 82, so its apples an oranges.
The C5 has impressed me with its footroom. Go test drive one & its clearly a bigger cockpit. All 82's are...
Radstad66 put it back to being a highly sought after mid-year, a 66 BB Vette. Be sure to put them sidepipes back on, & build that motor with perhaps an eye toward being able to handle a tri-power set-up should you stumble across one.
The value of that Vette is staggering even with a NOM as...
What you hear is mostly from camshaft. Thats why you need to determine what you want performance wise. A very healthy motor can be built using fairly inexpensive performance parts.
It would warrant a call to someone like Edelbrock to describe what level you want to achieve. The bottom end is...
Only if you want the fun factor to jump about 1000%. My car has a 454 & its FAST;)
The biggest gain in dropping in a BB is of course torque. I would pick a combination that is more geared toward a civilized HP rating. Just build it toward that end & you will be happier in the long run.
BB's...
Chris it sounds like the seats Rufus has recovered in black upholstery at the tampa shop would be the ticket. I really like my 80 seats alot & was happy to find some. They could mabey embroider a cool thing for ya in the tops.
Hijinx the car came with these seats & they were, if you can believe this screwed into the floor thru the seat edge. Needless to say they were not safe. The previous owner did not like the higher seat position & removed & discarded the rails:(
I have since replaced with black leather seats out...
Anthony don't get freaked out about value. In the end its what someone will pay for a car when its for sale.
You will find people called purists that will never accept a custom. I can see there side being valid. We have an NCRS event in Florida every Janurary & the cars there will take your...
Chris I have TRW pistons in my BB also. We have alot of similarities. Especially a love of Black nasty Big Block sharks. Theres a guy in the local Vette club with a Z06 & he will not race me. Says he paid a fortune for it & doesn't want a whippin from an old classic stuffed with a, he calls it...
Eric great lookin shark & congrats on making the Heroes in Uniform article. Keep them planes hummin for all of us! You guys all deserved a chance to show off your great rides, & above all thanking you for your service:)
Tom..... the 67 vette that those pipes are hung on is sweet lookin. But brings back a painful memory. I had first dibs on my buddies Goodwood green/ Blk interior, 427/435! I drove that vette many times & it will go down as my all time favorite! It was only 2 yrs old & had only 4,000 miles on it...
Knew you would like em! And yes the whole personality of the car changes. In my opinion for the better. Actually you will get over passing the man in awhile, they really aren't that loud. If I recall the pics showed the Hooker glass paks, & they are designed to muffle the sound from carrying...
Chris....Thats the one you been waiting for the FI unit! Know you had an ear to ear grin seeing that package! Should be on the motor this weekend & a pic taken to share...hint...hint!!!!!!!!
