I did a high speed run yesterday. I have a Gm Goodwrench 350, 700R4, 3.08 gears. I held it in 3rd till 5000 rpms and I hit 130. Because of the 3/4 throttle she wont shift into OD till I let of the gas a little. With the Corvette wide open throttle option I would run to 150 mph easy. 120 mph...
The frames are the same. Thinner hood material, thinner glass , the rear differential housing, the front behind the bumper is aluminum pieces and also I think the pace car seats. I think that was all.
My car in the rear passenger side used to sit 2inches higher than the drivers side front. It turned out to be the rear leaf spring. I took the heavy spring out and put the VBP composite spring in. Now she's sittin pretty.
Thanks for the reference. Did you have to give a core? I would like to keep my original carb. They will remanufactor mine? Thanks again. How long did it take?
Thanks Jack. Where can I get the recurve kit? The engine isnt stock I have the GM Goodwrench engine with a step up in the cam. Its supposed to have 250 hp but doesnt feel like it.
You need an adjustable timing light. That way you can get a better feel for what is zero degrees timing, etc. Try to get it to max out around 2,500 RPM at about 36 to 38 degrees.
I have a timing question. On the damper there are degree marks. They go so far. How do I get the total timing at...
I recently installed a GM Goodwrench engine in my 1980. The carb while on the old engine would hardly open (secondaries). Now they open half way. One problem I have is that it is hard to start. I used to pump 5 times and she would start right up. Now with the new engine I pump it 5 times then...
It turns out that the power steeing control valve ball joint is where the play is. I wish I had known about the steeroids kit 2 years ago. R&P steering is cool, its like a go cart
Dont go crazy with the stock worm gear steering.I replaced every steering component and I still have play. It sucks. Thats the one thing that I dont like about the car, steering. I WILL put the rack & pinion in eventually. Ill do it when I get the front composite spring kit.
My cruise control dont work so I have just one cable. With cruise there are two cables upper and lower. They both screw into the cruise control under the brake master cylinder.
