I have an automatic. My brakes have a popping or clicking sound too but only in park and neutral. I can hear it and feel it in the shifter. I don't notice it once I start driving.
Congratulations! I think you made a better decision buy a car with less miles. That 6K mile car probably never had the oil changed. I like to change my first oil at no more than 3K miles. Hopefully this one will be a good car.
"Hold on there" That is a table from an 09 A6 tranny. Only 4 gears are showing as the tables are broken down that way in the program to show only the first four then the other two in another table.
Yes, that's what you are feeling. Even 66 it will shift back to 2nd and then to 3rd at 68 based on the program. That happens pretty quick. Not sure why GM made the numbers so close but that's what the program indicates. Maybe the roughness is just the normal feeling you are getting with such...
According to the program via HP Tuner the 09 you should be shifting back to 2nd gear in the 40-50 mph range. That should be no more than about 4000 rpm. Not sure what you mean by rough. Sounds like you may have a problem.
You can always purchase it later when your 3 yr/36K mile is gone if you want complete coverage. Our 5 yr/100K will take care of the engine and drive train. You might even get it cheaper buying it later.
And if you mod the car your warranty is most likely gone anyway.
Did you use any lubrication when you installed the E-clips? I used some wheel bearing grease on mine at the same time and no more noise. Lubed it real good all over the rollers.
Theft insurance! That's your best protection. No matter what devices you install if they want it they are going to take it. Doesn't take long to load it onto a truck if they are pros.
I have read that Corvettes are somewhat low on the list of autos being stolen.
No problem so far with mine without the accordion coupling. As far as water, it takes in air virtually the same as factory location.

If you plan to drag race then keep the 2.73 and get a loose converter. With a properly sized converter you will be faster than any gear ratio.
I would recommend a PI 3600 as a compromise for street/strip. That's what I had in my 98 Camaro. Was worth .7 seconds improvement. A gear...
I can accelerate and make it sound just like a manual with my paddles. And not have to deal with a clutch and it's associated problems. This new auto is the only way to go! Especially in traffic.
I drove a couple of manuals before buying my auto and they did have a slight chatter when accelerating with low rpm. With more throttle it tends to eliminate the problem. Not normal but seems to be the way it is.
