Can anyone tell me who makes this widebody kit for C3 Corvettes?

The luggage rack is the first clue and the high ass end is the second. Leave the wheel wells alone . Rid the deck of luggage anything. Restore the ride height to where it belongs. Buy some good mags.:beer

    Help! Installing fan shroud??

Nothing goes in with the fan installed. There are 3 bolts on each side of the radiator mounting bracket in the front wheel wells. Remove the top 2 and swing the radiator mount bracket towards the front . This will give you room to install the radiator and shroud without butchering either. The...

Replacing Heater core...Who to buy from?

Answer is no. All cores are made off shore. I have done this job 3 times. Replaced the origional , leaking again in 3 months, then fix it for good. This is my advice. Buy a core. The leaks come from bad soldering unable to handle the installation process. Remove your firewall arround the heater...

    Side Pipe Installation

I bought my '71 in about early '83 . It had the GM 'glass pipes. They were beat so I ordered new from a dealer. I got # 219 or so in the last batch of 519 cover pairs that GM made , according to the dealer. The exhaust pipes show from under the covers , but its still a lot cooler in the summer .

    DR DOOR Handle

The lock assy broke . There is no detailed pix of the assy in the AIM. It is in UPC1 K7 [doors] Item 5 . The spool tab which translates the motion from both the inner and outer handles to the latch release broke, making the handle inop. THIS IS NOT CORRECT ! I mistook the lock/unlock modes...

    DR DOOR Handle

After removing the outer handle , I realized the cluster fork you'd be in if the door insisted on staying closed. I sprang for the OEM handle $100 . I checked the latch mech several times , worked fine. Cleaned the latch with brake cleaner and it FAILED . If I'd put this latch into the vette and...

    Noises while driving.

If you spun a rear wheel over the top of a hole recently , you may have damaged either universal joint on that side . Jack the ass end and in neutral and manually spin the rear wheels. Listen for a univarsal to click at you.

Question about "Park" in auto transmission

I don't know the vette auto linkage. I think, from feeling other auto shift levers, you should be able to feel a dead shifter. Its easy to go under the car and look to see if the linkage is intact. I only answered to what Park does to lock the car.

Question about "Park" in auto transmission

Park locks the fly wheel. A stop engages the teeth of the fly wheel. Like an anti-starter motor.

    starting issue -mystery

You may have taken out your battery/alternator but I think its your starter/solonoid.

    Backfire out of the carb?

If you have points in your distributer it could be your starter soleniod. When starting, your points are powered thru the solenoid with 12V. After the start switch is relaxed the power to the points comes from the start switch thru a ballast resistor reducing the voltage felt by the points to 6...
