I'll check codes today.Another thing, I pulled the fuse for the drl's-got a code for back-uplite;shrug circuit-wtf-put the fuse back in!

Things can wear out over time I guess.Both my keys were worn out.My vette is 8 years old.I still get a security light on now and then,maybe the computer is still learning something? I don't know:W

This afternoon I went to start the vette -and nothing!Just a strange whine,but not a starter noise.The battery is new so I knew it could not be that,checked the cables,all tight,then I noticed the Sercurity light on.Anyway the key has been hard to turn in the Ign. sw,sooo-off the the Dealer I go...

Mine was a 1964 chevy Belair,two door post,dark green,6cyl.3 speed on the floor-Hurst mystery shifter! ha ha bought it that way.Got drafted in to the army,drove it to FT.Knox KY.sold it for a really nice 67 chevelle,later saw two other soldiers in my 64 belair driving it around base.:thumb

I did not mean to knock you,it just seemed like a lot of work. i've looked a tpictures of the internals of mufflers and all that baffeling.Remember GM isn't going to give you a freebe,but if you can open something up-great! I have read a lot of good tips on this site.:w

seems like a lot of work for not much result-stock c5's are much too quiet, i would think re-welded spots would rust.GM made them for a reason,just like the stock air box.I read somewhere ol Dave didn't like noise!Boo!Tons of beautiful polished units out there,why bother?
