thanks for the comments.I went with a rebuilt unit.checked it out first,everything lined up,correct volts,and everything,got a printed lifetime warrenty slip.we'll see how well it holds up.The faCTORY ONE SAID MADE IN FRANCE! jeez can't we make anything here in the USA?

Well you both are correct-in my book.I put mid grade in for about a week did not notice anything-meaning you can do it-but maybe not forever,saving a few bucksi is not worth it for our cars:beer
