The rear rotors just got drilled of my '69. The car has a ton of hard miles on it, more than 500,000. They just needed to be turned.
Get a better tech.
The last time my wife drove my Vette was 1997! (It caught on fire so she's banned for life).
BTW, the 6 and 8 year olds are girls, so all the girls in my house are BaNNED from Vette contact.
The best part about mileage on the early C3's is that the Odo had a defect and they constantly failed until a permanent fix was created years later. So I don't believe the mileage of any early C3 anyway. Mine failed a number of times, it stayed broken at one point for many years. I don't know...
I sounds like you're not charging properly. The alternator in my 73 Eldo was putting out 20 amps then it would jump to 60 then somewhere else. It was a bitch to figure out why I was having strange issues with the car. Maybe you have a bad ground or something like that.
Good luck.
When I had my seats rebuilt I sent the back two times due to the wrong material. I wanted my correct 1969 comfort weave! I suppose they could have put in the wrong foam in yours?
And, that is a nice shifter!
When I could get 245/60/15's from Goodyear I ran them. When my car would need alignment my right front would rub... Since I run 235/60/15's now, I no longer have that issue. I'm sure this couldn't apply to your situation, but I got nothin' else.
They have alignment shops in Ohio don't they?
American Racing 200S Series VC 2001 would look right on your car IMO, period correct style and tough. The gun metal is cool as well. I like the OEM alloys polished (I should, that's what I have), the chrome on steel set in the first pick are uh... not my favorite, I don't think the 17's look...
