    Lowering 2000

It takes some driving (100 miles ?) for the suspension to settle. You can also cut up to 3/4 of the bushing to lower it more. Be sure to get it realigned after the suspension settles.

    2001 Rear End Gear Change

Much easier to replace entire diff. It takes special tools to replace the gears within the carrier.

    K40

I'm real happy with my Valentine V-1. It has directional arrows so you know where the radar signal is. I hard wired it and use a visor mount so it is fairly well hidden.

    Painted Hood Liner

2 coats of flat black spray paint to seal the hood liner then use Testors model paint sticks - red, white, silver. It is an easy afternoon project. You will need to use many coats of the Testors paint for it to look good.

    Bumper savers: Do they work?

I agree, the A&A rocker rails and frame savers are a must for any lowered ride and also if you have speed bumps are sloped driveways.

    Supercharging the vette

Andy Green at A&A Corvette Specialties has a great ATI P1SC kit with a large front mounted intercooler and a much better bracket that provides more belt wrap. Andy is a real class act. http://www.aandacorvette.com/

    supercharger

You must pay to play. The best Procharger kits have been developed by A&A Corvette and East Coast Supercharging. They only use the ATI headunit with custom designed brackets, intercooolers, and piping. These do not need a new hood. The key to any sucessful FI application is competent dyno...

    fog light intake

Just take the stock foglight panel out before installing the Z06 screens. No water problem, just better cooling and a little more dust in the engine compartment

    headers

I agree, unless you have bigger cubes, a radical H/C, or FI you will most likely lose torque with the 1 7/8. I am now looking at 1 3/4 to repalce my 1 5/8 since I added the SC

    Need Shock Advise

Try the Bilstein Heavy Duty's. They are stiffer than the stock shocks but not as stiff as the Bilstein Sports

    Doughnut on a C5?

No need for a donut spare. I just carry a small compressor (high volume, not high pressure), a plug kit, and a small Mercedes jack. The Michelin Pilot Sport are much quieter and better wet & dry handling than the run-craps.

2004 Arctic White - which wax?

First wash with Dawn or any dish detergent to remove any wax residue; clay bar; then start layering with Zaino. Use Z1 polish lock to start, then Z2 Polish over the top, let it dry the buff. Next spray with Z6 Gloss Enhancer and then with a 2nd coat of Z2 Polish. Zaino rocks

    Raising a C5

Be sure to have the alignment checked after raising it. Most folks will realign after lowering to prevent premature tire wear.

    New tires

I am very happy with the Michelin Pilot Sports. Much quieter and better dry & wet handling. I now carry a small compressor and plug kit.
