C2 as well I have the same problem with my 66 coupe. Has a strange smell. Can't find any leaks. Could the carb need rebuilding?

Yes the electric fan is operating. Initially after rebuilding the engine the radiator system did burp, but hasn't since. People keep telling me I need to focus on the timing and carb rather than the fan. Any comments to this solution? thanks

My 66 has a cooling issue when standing at idle - gets to 235 degrees within 5 minutes. When moving the engine temperature is mid gauge (210) or less. I have replaced the radiator, now a new date coded DeWitt, new water pump, new thermostat, new vacuum advance and gauge is reading correctly...

:ugh My 66 327 / 300 is using a lot of oil - about 1 qt / 150 miles at 65 mph. There are no visible oil leaks (engine compartment and under the frame are clean, no major puddles under the car) and there is no apparent blue smoke coming from the rear of the car. Any ideas?

Yes I did a Vin search, that is what led me to believe it is back in NY, I have contacted the various NCRS clubs in NY but to no avail. I also did a Vin search on ny current 66, history was different than I know the history to be, said it was in NEB. when is was in Fla!
