    glass t-tops

For those that have the Glass tops without the tint, Eckler's and Mid-America Motorworks, (and I am sure most other supply houses), sell a static film that you can put on the inside of the top and is not visible from the outside. It eliminates about 80% of the heat while still feeling open...

Keyhole near emblem on driver's side fender?

That is how the alarm system was armed. It was on the rear panel until 1973 and then moved to the driver's front fender for 1974-1976, and then integrated into the drivers's side door lock in 1977 and continued through the rest of the C3 production.

What do you guys think of this c4?

I hope he is up to date on his shots! He is going to need it with the women he would be attracting with that car.

    Newbie Question

I don't know but if I find out for you can I drive your C6 around? If no response here call the service manager at Maxie Price, (Rick I think), and I am sure they will answer quickly. Or you could try Ouzt's but with the one Corvette they get a year I positive they would not have an idea...

    Another whats it worth question.

First of all, IMHO, yours is worth far more than $8500. I would say that a well-maintained '96 coupe with 70K miles is more in the $10,500 to $13,500 range. Corvette Magazine lists the prices for a 1994 Coupe in their C4 price guide, (July 2005), as $7,100 for "Crummy", $9,500 for "Decent"...

    Misc 1978 parts for sale

I just sent you a note back via the CAC system. Also forgot to include that if you want the belts, (very little use and in excellent shape), I will include all three of those for $10.00 more if you would like to have them for back up. Thanks,

    need 78 cruise control parts

Just saw your post and I recently replaced my transducer and upper speedo cable on my '78 SA L48. Got everything from Rik's Corvette Parts. He had the original 2 wire transducer that was proper for the '78, (even had the correct stamp code). So if you are having no luck finding from...

    Misc 1978 parts for sale

I have recently sold my 1978 SA and have a couple of usable parts for sale if anybody has interest. I have a remanufactured Delco alternator, (63 amp), that was installed for about 1 year before I replaced it with a date coded one for NCRS judging. Same for a complete set of belts that were...

    LT1-Lifter Noise

Thanks for the info. Hib's response to you and the comments of the mechanic at the dealership eased my concerns. I am not crazy about the lifter noise but I can live with it for a while. Right now I can fix it by keeping the windows up or turning up the volume on the radio!

    LT1-Lifter Noise

markone, Did your lifter noise subside or is it still the same level? Did you do anything or leave it alone? How loud would you say yours is (or was)? Thanks for the input!

    LT1-Lifter Noise

The verdict is in...for now I took it today to Maxie Price Chevrolet after talking with their service manager last night. He had two of his more experienced Corvette mechanics listen to it, (with stethacopes no less), and they each said that indeed it was a noisy lifter. They said that it...

    LT1-Lifter Noise

I hope that is all it turns out to be but the sound is more pronounced than injector noise that I have heard before and the frequency changes in unison with the RPM"s. Thanks,

    LT1-Lifter Noise

I just picked up a '92 Coupe this weekend and have just noticed a ticking sound that sounds like a noisy lifter. I bought the car from the origianl owner with 35K well documented and maintained miles. I had the car checked out last week by a Chevy dealer in Orlando and everthing was clean...

    Pricing help

Pat, I just sold my '78 Silver Anniversary edition L48 with 78K miles for $13,100. This was an original survivor with some very minimal wear on the seats and everything worked. I had received an NCRS Top Flight award 6 months ago. So with that being said I would give a little more value...
