    Bose Gold needs repair again.

I hear Dr. Don's Corvette Radio Repair does good work. Just what I've heard, however. No personal experience.

    abs light

Regardless of which light it is, check your brake fluid. I LOST my ABS today auto-x'ing. Here I had enough fluid but under the g-forces the sensor set a low fluid code and then NO ABS, then flat spotted my tires a bit. In my case between min and max is NOT good enough, MUST be full. Service...

Procedure to lift a C4 onto Jackstands

:thumb I agree, I jack the one side up all the time to swap tires at auto-x events. No issues. These cars may be flexible but they are not made of wet noodles.

Question: 1992 Green Coupe for track use: Need opinions/advice

The QA1's are good drag shocks, I don't see anyone running them for auto-x. Bilstiens are good, but a set of Koni Sports would be best. They are setup for the Z51 springs 88-91 and work with the 92-95 Z07 cars just fine. Camber settings will be determined by tire selection. Hoosiers like more...

    Moment Frozen in Time

Didn't run as well as a year ago or so. Track prep and me being rusty mostly to blame. Trap speed was down to the 102 range. Was 105 or so before. TOO many things factor in on that to even speculate. 13.58@102 with a 1.99 60' was my best that night. 13.38@105 with a 1.99 60' is my Personal best.

    Moment Frozen in Time

Friend of mine Kyle Eagleton took this pic last night of me at the starting line at Pittsbrugh Raceway Park. First time I've been down in over a year, but I have 35+ passes at this track in this Corvette. I LOVE how he snapped it as all staging lights are lit, and the first ambers are just...

New Performance parts and a Dyno tune.

As you well know the 3.45's are the common rear end gear for manual transmission cars. Best of luck with your project. Drag racing is a lot of fun. I need to get down and make a few passes just for fun. Have not done it yet this year.

New Performance parts and a Dyno tune.

Stock ZF6, Stock 3.45, track elevation is approx. 1400ft. The 60' time helps with that 1/8th mile time. Sad part is there is more in it. I estimate with excellent driving at my home track, 13.2's are possible to run on a consistent basis. Gotta get that 60' down about a tenth or so. Next year...

New Performance parts and a Dyno tune.

Good Deal! Sounds like you got a healthy gain over stock. My 93 w/63K made 246 RWHP on a Mustang Dyno, basically bone stock, no intake, or roller rockers and such.

    Dyno Day

It was close enough for me I suppose. I was impressed by the torque numbers and more so by the curve. Its VERY flat.

    Dyno Day

Had an opportunity to get my 93 Corvette (62K on car) dyno'ed today and took it. 3 pulls on a Mustang dyno for $75, all for charity. First off some background, only power influence mods/changes are as follows: X-pipe in place of resonator Muffler Eliminators Fresh LT4 Valve springs, installed...

    Help! Oxygen Sensors?

My buddies 94 only has 3. Two upstream 02 sensors and one downstream after the cat on the pass. side.

    Question: Tire size suggestions

You'll be fine with 17X9.5's with 275or 285's at all fours. No need for the smaller rear bar. My 93 was fine with this setup and my stock rear 24mm bar. It will still understeer, just a bit less than the stock 255/285 combo. Factory errors on the side of understeer and lots of it. Understeer is...

    Question: 275/40/17

The Continental Extreme Contact DW is an excellent tire for your needs. Relatively inexpensive compared to some, better in most ways than others. This is THE rain tire of choice for many SCCA Solo 2 or auto-x participants. They are a quiet tire, tread wear is 340. Car and Driver did a big tire...

    Question: Tires

Dang, I wish I could get 40K out of set of tires. Then again summer tires plus aggressive use=short life. My "street" tire is a Kumho SPT, no complaints, they would have worn better if I had not auto-x on them. I don't recommend this they wear in a odd pattern. For street use they have been...

    front end alinement question

Corvettes need a 4 wheel, a 2 wheel just will not do it. Any out of spec in the back can effect the front. Besides to do a proper alignment the rear is set first then the front. Do a 4 wheel.

Help! This one has me totally confused

That sounds like no fun. I don't like fusible links. Its hard to get the smoke back in once its out.

Help! This one has me totally confused

First off, make sure your battery is actually good. Have it tested and make sure voltage is above 12V. It sounds like the battery MIGHT be ok. IF it is, then you need to diagnosis this as a no crank. Has power and everything but no starter engagement. You have a stick, is the safety switch...
