    Question: Underhood fiberglass cleaning

I use a product called Shine All that is a basic spray that gives everything that used car look. However, it covers up stuff like that well, and if you give it a wipe, it takes away most of the gloss leaving a "new" look to it. Might try a similar product, even Pledge (I use it on the door...

Aluminium radiator for an '88 - re Boomdriver.

I did as well, cannot believe the price. Too bad they are not made for late C4's. If they are as good as Boom says the are and from the pictures it appears so, great deal!!

Keep Your Eyes Open for deals...

Over this off season I've been broweing CF, Craigslist, and Ebay for any C4 bits I might need/want. I found a few...it pays to keep your eyes open for deals!!! Every coolant hose/line for a LT1, Spark Plugs & Wires, Stant 180 T-stat, Coolant Bottle w/sensor...ALL NOS on Craigslist at...

    LT4 New LS3 but still like LT4's

Actually the only thing that those kits do is plug the connector ends. NO need for anything. Just unplug it. That is what I did, the light still comes on but no solenoid operation. I simplly filled the connector ends with grease and taped over them to keep dirt out.

    MAF relay

I'm not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure a 94 does not have a MAF relay. Yes, if the MAF was bad it could cause lots of running issues. If you want to try something without spending a dime, unplug the MAF, with the key off. Car will run in open loop, CEL on, fans on, w/ no 02 sensors...

    Question: 1993 Exterior Door Handle

Something I do and it works is to use Furniture Polish (Pledge) on a cloth and wipe onto the handles. Brightens them up, works great on the front spoiler or any black plastic. I don't like anything "shiny" other than my paint. Gives it a nice "new" black hue with out being shiny.

    Question: Needed Maintenance

All filters air, fuel, etc...All fluids, diff, transmission, coolant, BRAKE FLUID, etc... Other than that make sure everything is in working order. Car is getting older so belts, hoses, t-stat, are nearing 20 year mark. Those might be a good idea if you want to drive the car and ensure reliability.

    Warming up car.

IF above freezing I'll wait maybe 30 seconds and go, with easy driving until the temps. come up. IF below freezing I'll wait maybe a 1min. or two. Then go. At the track I like oil temps. above 150. I need my manual fan switch to keep the coolant temps. reasonable while waiting in the staging...

    Fuel System O-rings

I figured as much on the fuel rails. The ones for the injector are easy but I have some sources for the injector rails.

    Fuel System O-rings

Yeah, I remember your thread on that. I'm probably going to order some known sizes and take everything apart, then replace what I can and find what I need. By all means though if anyone else has anything to add, please do.

    Fuel System O-rings

Anyone know the specs for ALL of the o-rings in LT1 fuel systems? Given the stories of fuel fires and such, and that many of our cars are nearing 20 years old. Not a bad I idea to replace them, at least in my book. Seems to me there are 2 at the filter, 1 at the return connection near filter...

    Opinion Time: Valve Springs

I'm going this route. They way I run my car, it figure it is a GOOD idea. No problems, but I don't want any either.

    Opinion Time: Valve Springs

Define ran hard? Granted I do see maybe 25+ 1/4 mile passes a year, auto-x, and I usually find one time to run it thru the gears every time I drive it. The rest of the time, just cruising along. Keep in mind, I OVER maintain my stuff so...:eyerole I think for now, I might just leave well...

Dual Mass Flywheel, Solutions and Options Survey

I still have my stock setup, however, you may want to contact this gentleman. He seems to know the ZF6 and its associated components well. Power Torque Systems, L.C. I keep telling folks about him and I bet when the day comes I NEED a flywheel/clutch setup, all the good parts will be gone.

    Opinion Time: Valve Springs

So what your saying is replace the valve springs? Would you change the keepers and retainers? Keep in mind noting is broke, my idea is preventative maintenance...springs do get weak as evidenced by my Buick 3.8L Turbo work.

    Opinion Time: Valve Springs

A little back ground, this past summer I resurrected a 87 Buick Grand National from basically a, no-start then magically did one day to running like it should. Car basically has sat for the good part of the last decade more or less. Neglected to say the least, lots of BAD on this car, even 1...

    LT4 code P0300 why?

Generally one gets what one pays for. I've not bought a CMS Opti-Spark nor the one I'm about to recommend but I would give this Petris Enterprises, Inc. - Products at try and call them if it was me. I've HEARD good things, and that SEEMS to be the general consensus.

Question: Has anybody fitted a c5 transaxle in a c4??

I can understand the "to be different" factor. Lots of time and money more than what the car is worth, yes it COULD be done. For weight distribution??? Really, a 84 is 50/50. Most C4's hover around 50/50, look at the specs. available on this site. My 93 LT1 is just a bit nose heavy at 51/49...
