I changed my 2.73 gears to 3.73 in my 92 automatic.It was great for city driving and sprinting around town until it broke down.Some of the teeth cracked and so I had to re-install the originals. I would probably do it again only if the gas prices would go down a little......It's expensive on gas...

My 2003 CLK430 has a 5 speed automatic transmission that can be shifted manually.It does have it's limitations and for the most part it is used in "D" When wanting to change gears all I have to do is either tap the shifter to the right for a higher gear or tap it to the left for a lower gear...

P.S......I had 3.73 gears before they broke(I have no clue why?).....Let me say that wizzing around town was a blast but the gas on the highway was brutal (at the cost of gas now it would hurt even more) I don't use my Vette much but it if were a daily driver I don't know if I would have changed...
