My starter went out at 15 000 miles...was replaced under warranty so ;shrug .We were having a Corvette run and I had to keep banging it with a hammer to get through the day.
Dealer told me at the time that I wasn't the first.....Maybe he just re-connected a wire and billed GM for a new one....Ya...
congrats on the new toy and welcome.I too owned a Pontiac('87GTA)...Mine got stolen so I decided to go for the top dog at GM....I have never regretted it in 11 years and counting.
Sorry buddy, I have no prices for you.....I'm just so peed off hearing about this kind of thing.I once had my GTA keyed when it had approx. 2000 miles on her..I was fuming :mad ......I hope it didn't hurt too much.

I'm glad it worked out for you.My guess is that the plastic window has a different setup for holding the window.I on the other hand had to replace the window because it was faded so much that I couldn't see throught it.

I have one of those too.What a bummer!!!..I thought that the white powder residue was the ciment joints coming apart from my house and landing on my top.I had the top washed and sure enough the first time I put it on the car was covered in white dust after I removed the cover.......Anybody else...
The reason I stuck with the plastic was because no-one around had ever done the conversion.The "kit" to do the conversion was 600 bucks Can. and had a month backorder at my local G.M. dealer.
