I need some parts for my 2002 100k miles Suburban.
Water pump, stat, a/c belt, resevoir. The a/c delco stuff is almost 2x the price of everything else. My dealer marks up like I'm buying diamonds at full retail.
Where & what brand stuff would you guys use, I want quality without being scre###...

1) Open door
2) Run seat back unless memory/easy access has already done it
3)Butt on seat (if it's been lowered butt on sill, then put hands on sill & shift butt to seat
4)Swing legs in (2 at at time, or 1 at a time if knee/hip replaced)
5)Close door 1/2 way so you can reach it when...

Do NOT replace with a GM balancer, as you already know they are less than stellar.

I am just about ready to buy a used c6z but all your issues are making me think twice. My LS6 motor is 100% solid at 55k miles (with one exception - the balancer replacement). I have a video on my YT channel if anyone cares to view.
Is there any particular model year of C6Z that is better...
Did you put the 3rd filter on at about 15000, so your filter interval is about 7500?
Did you inspect (cut open) the filters to see if they could have gone longer?
I am happy to give you the award for the dumbest comment from a service advisor this month. Seriously. I would not bring the car back there, ever. If it were me, I'd also contact GM customer service and relate the "advice" you got at that dealer.
The "service advisor" should be flipping burgers...
Thanks Rob, I saw that & that's why I asked. Unless my old brain is just missing it, I don't see anything there except brakes & body dimensions. What'd I miss?
