Help! Could these things be related?

Sorry for all the issues, but I agree w/ Junkman, all these are known & fixable. You have to be patient & follow some diagnostic procedures, can't expect to bang on the dash 3 times & all is fixed. I like to try & stay factual in the threads & not go off on how "good" the cars used to be, so...

Advice on replacing wheel hubs and suspension parts

Since they have already demonstrated their incompetance, are you sure you want them to complete this fairly extensive/expensive work. I would be driving my Vette out of there. :thumb

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Hi Hib, Very informative reporting. Thanks. One thing on the green filter, I tried one on my z16 & I had to (following their instructions) cut some tabs, and I still did not like the fit. YMMV And they may have improved the fit for c5z. Having said that, I dropped a K&N in & never looked...

    Help with breaks

You might want to think about checking ALL your fluid levels on a somewhat more frequent schedule than whatever you are doing now. :thumb It could be, I am guessing, the fluid has never been checked & someone wore the pads down to nothing and (of course) the fluid level dropped. There is...

    c6 oil consumption

I agree with lt4man. Make sure it's an "oil burning" problem and not an "oil level measuring" problem. :thumb

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Specifically I'd like your opinion (when you get the time) of whether the Magnaride shocks are a fully vetted replacement for the best afternarket shocks (Penske, Koni, Mouton, etc) or are they still likely to be bettered on the track by the competition shocks. We all know they are more...

    blinkers/turns signals inconsistant

I don't believe that, you get too much satisfaction from servicing the car. Job well done. :)

What tires are you running and why?

Hoosier A6, because they have more grip than any tire on the list. Just for track. My street tires at the moment, are Sumi HTRZiii, not at all bad for the price. :thumb

Battery drains if left for 3 or 4 weeks

Yep, if you get 4 weeks that's pretty good. All sorts of elec draw going on even when parked. Put a trickle chrg or a kill switch in. :)

    oil changes

Thanks for the post Hib. It'll probably only take a decade or two for all the Vette owners who have been bowing down to the holy oil M1, to realize that these original fill deals are FINANCIAL first and foremost, then maybe what's best for the engine. Not that it's a BAD oil (well the zddp...
