If it shows on the title or history at all then many (most?) potential buyers will just take a pass and not want to hear the "story" behind the buyback. So if YOU get a big enough discount YOU will have to pass it on to the next buyer.

Good complete info from Hib, the only things I would add (from personal experience) is the WIX/NAPA is also a great filter & stay away from the GM new "e" (for environmental) filter. I had one leak immediately when I put in on my LS6 and now several automotive techs (on other forums) are also...
Nobody who posts on this thread is going to say "don't do it", so that's already established.
If it will ever see a track, as you did say, vert's are out.
I would look at 2lz, I don't have the specific, but it seems to me there was something that came on 2lz that "I" needed to have.
Extra 7k...

I was just thinking if he had bent something in the original c5 shifter, might as well go with a c6 shifter as so many people seem to think it's a great upgrade & the price is similar. Personally I like my c5 shifter. I would guess there is "some" normal wear on a syncro & probably not...
Good,
Just make sure it's all they way in reverse every time. If I feel it did not go all they way, I just repeat the roll fwd drill.
I'm sure it's not good for the tran gears to POP OUT of any gear.
:)
It seems to me you are not fully engaging reverse. If you have done the adjustment correctly, the next thing I would try is new fluid in the tranny. Has it ever been changed? I recommend Redline d4atf. Last thing would be change out the whole shifter for a c6 shifter.
Getting the tranny fully...
Here is vid my 04 ls6 45k miles, what I call NORMAL engine sound, all stock.

BTW I autox/track the car so it sees plenty of high speed & wot. I sometimes think the cars with odd engine sounds are ones that don't get driven...
I will take a shot about what is so "special" about CM.
The quality of the information is very high, the volume of information is not. I will take one informed quality post from a tech at CM over ten posts at most other "Vette" forums.
No ads and no supporting vendors. Ads and supporting...
Really good description of how DM flywheel works, now I know why GM recommends to replace & not resurface.
Bet one of those springs broke because the new clutch put more torque on them.
My guess is the shop charged you for a resurface flywheel & just took a rotary wire brush to it & never took...
Ask him why almost all the cars in the world have aluminum radiators if it's so good at holding heat compared to cast irom.
I'm sure he'll have some answer.
I would love for you to post his answer here.
Seriously, I don't believe any "corvette mechanic" ever said that, this is a joke, right...
I had a 96 that sat on a lot for quite some time b4 I bought it. There is a metal tank with a liner. Mine eventually got several pin hole leaks in the liner & metal tank & was leaking gas onto the garage floor. Had to replace tank. Unusual, but it happens. Somehow moisture got between the tank &...
Too easy for a diy, if you are ok with taking the seat covers off/on, the part is right there easy to see.
Just the bottom needs to be peeled up & reattached.
:)
If it were me I'd replace the part before I weld the recliner, I use a different angle for street drive vs. competition.
YMMV
