Looking good! Nice to see you can include such big speakers in the rear! :)
If you want to put them away a little further maybe this is an option. It isn't even that difficult only the front (round) part is a little difficult and you still need carpet to make the match.

Thank you both. I changed the OEM sensor a few years ago for a heated one. Its a bosch (same as C4 ZR1 uses, don't know if this is zirconia oe titania type?) The wide band is a bosch LSU 4.2 sensor.
But going back to basics (stock) is always a good idea! Ashame I didn't think of that! ;)
I'll...
Good idea! I used the switch several times when transforming the headlights so its something that I would overlook. Thing is thay both headlights have the same problem (I feel vacuum in both that is keeping them up) so it would be logical that the problem is in front of where the system splits...
Stays the same with the by pass pulled or not. Checked the vacuumlines behind the dash (as far as i could see) everything alright behind it...

Hello everbody,
This time I really don't know it anymore so I hope somebody could give me some pointers or a hind into the right direction.
Here it goes. I made a vid of the problem that is much easier then pages of text but this is the problem.
The problem is the solenoid inside the carb goes...
Hello everybody,
This is the problem. I have all new vacuumlines something like 6 years old. All the rest is OEM with new rubber seals. I checked everything last year when I had a vacuumleak. Relays were oke, vacuumcan had a little hole, closed that and the drivers side actuator had a bad seal...
Yes use a performer rpm intake for some extra hp and torque but loose it all together and even more with a aftermarket hot air intake in favor of the oem cold air intake. I would say read a few books and see how much hp gain you have with a 5 F intake temp drop compared to a better intake. Not...
And the problem is?
I think high rpm's when cold isn't a problem. Look in your service manual to see what rpm the engine should see when idling cold. :)

Hello,
First welcome to this Corvette forum :)
If you have a 81 Corvette or with your E4ME questions the L81 section has more members with knowledge about this single year used carb.
Chris (Sensei) his 81 was stolen and a joyrider totalled the vette so that is why he isn't around anymore. :cry...
Hello, I see a vette in Belgium Nice! :upthumbs
What I would do is wait two years and spend the extra money in the new engine. Don't go with a cheap ass engine but something with good brands in it. But that is up to you of course.
A H525 will lift the valves a little higher and more quickly...
Good to hear the battery was the problem! Good luck with the L81, if you have any more question fwel free to ask :)
But a C3 in Japan, that is something you don't hear every day!
Greetings Peter
When you turn the key, do you even heard the start relais clicking? It could be a couple of things but it is a hide and seek game. First the Optima, is it a brand new one? Take it out and let a different shop test the Optima on how many amps it can produce. Voltage is nice to know but the amps...
Hahaha, and I was thinking. Well a new topic in the L81 section. Is it my own topic :rotfl
But yes I did get it to work properly. Turned out the vacuumload in the vacuumline was to low to fully close the valve. Traced the problem back to the switch on top of the heaterbox (inside). A lever...
Hello Zero,
I have my Borgeson unit in there for about a year or so. Nothing wrong with the unit! You're correct that the Borgeson puts more stress on the chassis as the OEM system did. Now all the power steering is connected to the frame, the OEM system the power steering was away from the...
Welcome and enjoy your stay overhere! I see Gerry is coming to the rescue :)
Good luck, I'll shime in later after Gerry did all the hard work! :L
Greetings Peter
I found our the exact same thing a few years ago. I don't remember if the wire goes all the way to the ECM, i think it is connected to ground if i remember correctly. You can connect a 700 to it without changing anything. On 700r4's the extra wire is used to trigger high gear. But i need to look...
You can still see some small reflective black dots (low points). This is as perfect as I can make it. With the new paint layer there is no way you can see the low spots.
After this I test fitted the assembly. Seems like the alu headlight piece wasn't perfectly as it was below the body at the...
