They came on the convertibles. My 90 has one. it bolts with 2 bolts at each corner plus there are two on the body.In the front it bolts to the frame just where it turns in.
It is right where the fuel filter is on the passenger side.If you can get that corner located the rest should fall in...
If I understand right ,you are running a port injected system on an 84 with a 90 ECM.
I tried to follow your injector ohm testing and got the idea you didn't disconnect the
wires from them to check. This seems to be a possible feedback. I am thinking that
you have to disconnect the wires to...
Make sure you check it with a scanner or hook another tach to it, the tachs are notorious for showing to fast. I always thought mine idled to fast both because
of what it sounded like and the tach. scanner says otherwise.
You need the washer. I think they also need to have about 3/4 in of thread.Would have to double check that. I know that is the case in my 90.
You should be able to feel if the seat is flat of tapered in the head.
I know about the refractometers because I use one at work to check machining coolant. The scale on them is % I have never used an automotive one, what is the scale on them? Temps ?
My 2006 Grand Prix owners manual says change coolant every 5 yrs or 100,000 miles ... at 80,000 the heater core plugged with slime.
Any vehicle I own with the dexcool will get it dumped and flushed . It is the poorest excuse for coolant I have ever had the misfortune of
having in a vehicle.
You will want a special tool for taking the wheel off, get a loaner from local parts store,,, advance auto loans tools.
If your lucky the bolts may just have worked lose. Other thing can be the bearing has gone bad.
Be sure to unhook the battery. Wouldn't want to set off the airbag.
What part...
Just a note about AC oil filters. In the last few yrs the quality has hit the bottom on them. One big thing they changed is putting a plastic cage inside the center.
A friend has a sprint car and almost lost and engine when that plastic broke up and went into his oil system. He noticed oil...
Vacuum leak number 7 runner .. or 5 and 7 wires run parallel next to each other. IAC don't effect idle speed makes me think the vacuum leak, would make the bank lean also.
old school 5 and 7 fire in order wires should not be run next to each other ,induction can fire 7 early.
Hope I am on to...
Are you by chance a farmer?.. ethanol does hurt older fuel systems. Newer ones maybe not so much. The
only systems it don't hurt is the stainless steal .Also with 10 % ethanol you give up 10% of your mileage.
I have checked it many times with every car I have owned. Even people with the E85...
Your owners manual warns against to much methanol. The ECM does a good
job of adjusting for the octane you are using. The downside of lower octane
is power and economy loss. I use 87 in my 90 most of the time because I
have to drive 50 miles to get premium. I refuse to use ethanol because I...
I have never had anyone make bad comments about my C4 . I must hang around the right people.
Has anyone notice that there seem to be a lot less C4s on the street or at shows? Seems to
be the case around here. I see lots of C5 and C6 around but the number of C4 has declined a lot
in this...
Did you replace the bushing in the crankshaft ? on the ZF it takes very little wear to cause problems . Also
in case you don't know, do not put grease in the solid brass bushing , only in the needle bearing style.
I made that mistake, results were rather noisy.
One or two drops of oil make a lot of smoke.. at speed there is enough air movement that you won't smell it.
60k I would suspect valve cover gaskets. The second thing to look at is the oil pressure sending unit
next to the distributer. Most time the oil from the sending unit don't make it to...
