There are many posts in the site help and feedback, that say step by step the procedures how to post a picture.
Welcome to the site, you will definetly love it here, and the vette!
Well I went to AutoZone today and to my suprise they had a hoze that was a very close match to the one that split. Purchased it put it back on and completely flushed the coolant system and added new, and I am back on the road now.
Just for kicks what is the capacity that should be in the C4...
Hmm... when I do that to mine and run it at about 1500 or higher the level always drops as I add fluid till its full then I cap it. How long are you running it at 2000 to check for air pockets?
Brake pads were done last fall I believe... and wheel bearing shortly after I purchased the car. To check a wheel bearing you jack it up and pull on the tire at 12 and 6 correct?
When I pushed the car back into the garage today after I took the coolant line off, I could hear a howling noise, it wasn't very loud, and when the car stopped the noise would stop. Also the every rotation or so of the tire it would feel like it was "bound" up and would release. What could the...
Yeah I don't know what exactly I'll do. Tomorrow before I have to go to class I want to spray the motor down and get all the coolant off of everything. Hopefully I can get it fixed on Tuesday after I get out of class, since it is my only day off of work.
Wow that sucks. When it got over 3 bucks here I pretty much parked the vette unless I took it on highway trips to conserve the gas mileage for the driving time I would get. With the intown mileage it gets, I was getting killed at the pump...
Yeah I have the same thing here, there are stations that offer 93 at BP, there is a Citgo that has 95, and 100 all unleaded too. I usually just fill up at the BP its about three minutes from my house. I filled up tonight with a half tank for 2.65 a gallon, cost me 24 bucks.
They had hose long enough, but i couldn't get it to curve out and go back into the other hose that goes into the heater core I think. If I took the straight hose and tried to make the bend with it, I couldn't get it to keep form and it just collapsed.
Nothing but premium, since the day I purchased it about three years ago. I have every once in a while mixed a gallon or two of 110 in with a full tank of premium.
If it hasn't been done in a while, do everything. Plugs, Wires, Cap, rotor, coil. You could also change the fuel filter and clean out the butterflies on the TB if they are dirty. Change the air filter frequently if you have a paper one.
Actually I did one. I should have been more specific about the hose. It was actually the curved house coming out of the intake that is supposed to go into the TB then out on the passenger side. Since I couldn't get a long fitted hose to make the curve I just spliced that shorter hose, and a...
Out with a few friends for a while tonight, when I see the low coolant light come on. I make a left turn then it goes off for a couple minutes then comes back on. Well I was close to my buddies house so I just drove it till I got there coolant temps were real low (165ish). Well when I get...
Well in my 87 You can feel the shift from 1-2, then from 2-3, then from 3-4. And then the converter locking up around 43ish, also kind of feels like it shifting, but not really. The only thing I can think is something might be wrong with your converter locking up. You sure the fluid in it is...
