The high beam switch is on the left side of the steering column. You can see it when you look down the column. The circuitboard is the high beam indicator next to the tacho ans speedo.
Begin with the switch that could be the problem.

Only way to check this is with a A/F ratio meter or on a dyno. But i would say carbs always need to be tuned to the specs of your engine to get the best out of it.

Yes that is correct but i think you need to test some more to make sure where the problem is.
To explain the choke. The coil is when cold under tension so it puls the lever inside the choke down. Connected to the choke valve the choke valve is almost closed. When warming up the coil expands so...
As a 81 owner not to burst the bubble your in but an 81 have no real extra value 100% factory over non OEM ones.
So first question, no. Play save and keep the OEM parts. Within a few years you'll understand that 90% of the chrome parts is cheap chinees junk! That way you can still put the OEM...
Do you have a elec choke or an older one? If its a elec version first look if the wire is still attached to the choke. After that look at how the choke is located in the housing and remove it then see if the lever inside the housing can move freely. If so change the choke for another one and try...
The fusable links are there for the starter. If she started right up then the links are oke. From the moment your engine is running the fuseable links don't have any function anymore.
As for the problem. Try running is with the alternator disconnected maybe a shortage in that thing?

Hello Mike,
Sorry to hear about the divorce, sure a difficult time but as i see it you're up for new challenges! :)
On the subject. First or after removing the rivets makes no difference. The upper controlarm is there only to control camber so no real tension on it. If you already have a...
I agree with the previous two members! After the body off I changed everything (were i could) to LED. I remember that the flasher needed a elec flasher and some extra load on the flasher. What you can do is change back to normal bulbs and see if it works. After that change one by one to LED and...
I changed my coolant water thermostat tp 180F and the electric fan thermostat to 190F. Works perfect for me!
And yes there are some different types so just buy a good one from a corvetteparts guy :)

For the open limit the only things you have are the open limit L bracket and the mechanisme itself. You can also unwind the cast piece (that is in front of the steel shaft). When you unwind it it further opens the assembly. :)
