Change the crossmember, shorten the drive shaft and some small things. How difficult depends on your skills, time, tools and available friends.
When you compair work to benefits then it's a must have!

Or the old brass float is broken full of fuel so it's not capable of closing the inlet. Or there is dirt between the inlet and plunger.
Did you ever before open up the carb? If not maybe this is a good moment for a rebuild or at least get a new upper gasket because it will break when opening...
That's it!! Great idea Don! I think the clutch fan isn't working when hot! Isn't a problem when moving but when your idling or standing still the clutch fan isn't moving air into the radiator. :)
Greetings Peter
Running it without the hood should fix the problem! [emoji6]
But if it is really a tempature problem i would say begin with the 160F thermostat and go from there!
Greetings Peter
Does the problem get any worse as you stand still for a while? (It should if its a vapor lock)
Try using a 160F thermostat to check if the vapor lock is less prominent.
In my opinion it isn't a vapor lock but something else. Runners ng lean for example. Is the choke valve fully opened when hot...
The engine should run well even if the temp is up to 210. What temp thermostat did you use? Mine has a 180 thermostat and 190 fan switch and the fan almost never comes on. If its a fuel heat problem i would check the carb thick insulation gasket below the carb.

What I would do is soak it in wd40 or somwthing for a couple of days. Drain all brake fluid. Then clip the crossover line between the corners. Use two wrenches to remove the line pieces out of the corners be verycarefull not to distroy the corner pieces or buy new ones. Put the new one in and...
The choke connector is a special model that clicks in place, it also has the L shape in the connector. The one you have one is a bubba solution. ;)
As for the choke, was the engine compleetly warmed up when you set out for the drive? Because it sounds perfectly normal to me if the engine isn't...
This is a picture I took 10 years ago. Should be the same as it is now.
So I also have one (thin) orange wire for the buzzer but also a thick orange wire I think it's connected to the BATT connector.
And sorry, forgot it again.. :ugh

Alright, does this 6 link change half shaft length? No! For that matter, does the idea behind a 6 link make your u joints break less then stock? No! In theorie there is even more danger because the (crappy) stock system has less tire contact so power makes the tires spin sooner even before the u...
I'll jump under my dash to look for you tgis afternoon. But as it is hanging in front of the fusebox it it plugged into the front and not the rear so not ot many options.
Greetings Peter
Could be me but if it doesn't say fuel line then i doen't use it for that application. Same with ethanol first read some tech info before you put stuff on or in your engine blindfolded. Just my opinion.
Greetings Peter
Overhere in Holland a Corvette isn't a common car to see. I think I come across one on the road I think max 4 times a year. If it's on the driveway I think 90% don't know its a Chevrolet (the same with my Pontiac) We do have a few companies that sell parts around 2x the US price. When I need...
