First one headlight then the other

I'm leaning towards an electrical problem as opposed to a gear problem. Do you have voltage to both motors when you pull the "on" switch?

point me right direction on this?

Is your A/C cycling? If it's low on R-12, it will cycle and the computer will constantly try to adjust. Also, I believe you'll find that 400 RPMs at idle is a tad on the low side.

    Fog Lamp Replacement

You should see a wire connected to a tube type bulb holder about 8 inches from the turn signal lamp. It helps to have small hands. Twist that tube about a quarter of a turn (counter clockwise T think) pull it out and the bulb will be on the other end of it. Be careful when you are putting it...

    sloppy tilt steering

I just got finished replacing my upper steering column. Got the entire column from a salvage yard and it took about 5 hours to complete the swap out. It's a medium difficulty type job but can be done by anyone with a smidgon of mechanical ability. My 87 doesn't have the airbag so it was...

New Wheels for My 87...Before & After Pics

Honest? I like the original wheels better. I'm not a fan of a lot of chrome.....but.... it's your car and if you're happy, that's all that counts.

    What powersteering fluid to use?

Here's what my shop manual has to say about it (1987).... "NOTICE: Some people still believe you can use Automatic Transmission fluid in Power Steering Systems. It is just not true. Automatic transmission fluid is not compatible with the seals and hoses used in the power steering system...

    Fog Lights

I don't know what fog light bulb the '94 uses but you can Google Sylvania Auto Lamps and probably come up with the answer.

idle set, then goes back up...

Do not set the voltage with the motor running. You might try clearing the memory by disconnecting the battery and let the computer reset to the adjusted voltage.

    Vette got backed into

I'm wondering if you could post the name of your dealer. He would appear to be a man of honor...a rarity these days.

    Center Console Button Spring

You're welcome. Have you noticed that whenever we need to do something on these cars, they just happen to be items not covered in the shop manuals? LMAO

    Bottom feeder cleaning

Installing a 160 degree stat will not make your engine run one single degree cooler. Not one.

    Center Console Button Spring

No photo I'm afraid but.....if I recall, the spring is installed on it's side with the curved side toward the latch itself. There are two grooves in the console itself into which the ends of the spring are inserted, then the latch is placed up against the spring so that when it's pushed in, it...

    Fog Lights

Just about any decent parts store like Autozone or Advance should have them. They are a direct swapout for the original bulbs. Item Nr. 880ST works. They run about $20/each. Not cheap but, IMO, well worth it.

    Fog Lights

I put some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in my foglights and it made a world of difference. Silverstar headlights are great also!
